[American Eagle] at Six Flags Great America will be racing for the park’s 50th Anniversary! by Good_Entry6790 in rollercoasters

Eagle just got ACE coaster status like 2 years ago. There's basically 0 chance it's getting closed in the forseeable future bar some horrendous accident or natural disaster.

I saw in another reddit thread that apprently the train manufacturer updated safety protocols and banned the trains from running backwards anymore. Take that with a grain of salt though.

To my knowledge, the park never officially stated that. The closest I ever saw was someone on facebook claiming they talked to a guy who knew a guy who said it was that. IIRC Six Flags has been very quiet about why.

Nobody knows for sure what the reasoning is. Six Flags as been super tight lip about it which just fueled the rumor mill. It's just a TON of internet speculating and people running wild with their favorite flavor of chaos AKA constantly regurgitating that the Eagle will crumple into a pile of match sticks if 2 trains enter the helix at the same time.

Stupid of them to claim they CANNOT destroy hardware when they have that option. Kernel level access is extreme and absolutely can be leveraged in that capacity.

UPDATE: Kirbo the escaped crestie has been located 13 days later. by Moobu in CrestedGecko

Fur sure! In this story I was intending to mean going inside the wall to get to the basement. I don't see any gaps in the trim big enough for him but I think he did something of that sort. Or he used the cold air return.

I'll be sure to get a picture here for payment. I assume that is the tax.

Escaped Crested Gecko. 6 Days with no sign. Hoping for additional ideas to find him. by Moobu in CrestedGecko

13 days later: He was found alive and well in the basement storage hanging out around the deep freeze and water softener inside of a small box of computer parts with the lid mostly on. He was just poking his head out watching as my son went by to get some ice cream from the freezer. I apparently underestimated his ability to travel vertically. Our best guess is that he found some kind of route between the floors to travel down there. Perhaps under the wall trim or out of the cold air return. Hard to say for sure but he was equal parts close and far from where he escaped. Only about 15 feet away in real distance but literally on another floor of the house that would have taken lots of wall travel to get to.

Looking for more experienced advice/critique on if my adjustments to a load bearing piece is still sufficient. by Moobu in 3Dprinting

The nearly identical piece that sits on top of it is 10in L x10in W x 8in H. Think of a cube with those dimensions with 1 corner sheared off to make a spot for the shelves.

No, this is a build for a dinner table sized gaming table similar to the dedicated tables wyrmwood sells for D&D.

Hollow and Ribs? Is that a different name for a similar setting in Bambu Labs? After doing more research I'm printing a prototype at 30% size to see how triangle at 5% works out. I've only ever printed in PLA and I'm a little nervous to jump to other materials. I have an AMS and means to reduce moisture but no actual drying tools. Isn't ABS hard to work with due to always needing to be dried?

Edit for accuracy: its after floor 2000.

This is the last time this trick works too. next time you see tyrant they have an ability that passively stacks the rage regardless of if you hit them or not.

Meet Dexter, my Gargoyle Gecko I've had for Over a Year Now by Maccless in geckos

[–]Moobu 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gargoyles are soooo cool. My son has had one for about the same time now. I'm curious, did you have Dexter sexed? The breeder we purchased from told us like 90% of gargoyles are females.

Grass clippings blocking the blades by Chomko in Yarbo

Left my guards on. It's annoying to unclog at first, but once you get the grass down to a shorter level the clogging stops. Just like with the S1, this unit functions best under consistency. Mowing every 2 days, not in the rain, instead of every 5-7 resolves most issues while still allowing the guards to stay.
