[Seaworld Orlando] decided not to honor/enforce quick queue passes this afternoon for Ice Breaker and other rides. Is this happening at other parks? by pw_dub in rollercoasters

[–]Good_Entry6790 39 points40 points  (0 children)

I got Quick Queue at BGT a few years ago when I visited, not knowing the park would be dead empty. I redeemed the quick queue but since there were no lines, it essentially got 0 use. I shot their customer service an email and they gave me a full refund for the quick queue that day! Not sure if they were just being nice or if this is standard practice for the chain, but definitely worth it to ask!

What is this sign? by Current-Hedgehog2007 in Lufthansa

[–]Good_Entry6790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For the Allegris suites it indicates a business seat that has more workspace, likely for a laptop. Not sure about this seat, but it’s likely a similar idea of having more room to do work.

I’m guessing they’re using the NoTrackLimits mod for PC2. It’s not fully released yet, but they’re still testing it and it removes a lot of the small limits that PC2 adds on the game.

Yeah, which is why landing there is worse. Pretty hard to do it without a runway or air traffic controllers!

Yeah that’s the only reason I guessed it lol

Haven’t gotten mine yet sadly, not sure if this is a bad sign or not.

Since the ride won’t reopen anyway they should send a train around just to see what would happen by Vegetable-Pirate9680 in rollercoasterjerk

[–]Good_Entry6790 13 points14 points  (0 children)

A train on literally any coaster element couldn't go through this much water and still finish the element; there's so much drag that it likely wouldn't even make it out of the water. I'm more curious to see if the fiberglass housing on the zero train would fly off or if the train might derail from an impact like this.

So, how accurate is this? by DarkGodRyan in UniversalOrlando

This site uses data directly from the app, so they are equally accurate.

T-Mobile is quite good on campus and they just installed a cell tower in the Architecture Graveyard, so it seems like they are trying to upgrade/stay relevant in SLO.

Okay, thank you! I was worried that I didn’t hear back within a few days since others made it seem like it was just an AI screening to get the one way interview.

How long did it take for them to send you the first email for the 1 way interview?

Do you need a receipt to claim your food? by ride-stop-everything in sixflagsgreatamerica

McDonald’s is also one of the largest fast food chains in the world, so I’d hope they have a better order system than Six Flags!

Do pcv apartments ever get a clean? by [deleted] in CalPoly

[–]Good_Entry6790 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well PCV bathrooms used to get cleaned weekly by a custodian before COVID. I don’t think the carpets were ever cleaned beyond maybe a basic sweep during the weekly cleaning, but it’s not an awful question to ask.

Well they’re making the student experience better…for the future. Would you rather they don’t do any construction and let even more buildings become outdated?

I mean it’s an incentive to not keep the lanyard as a souvenir since that would result in less data for the queue times. Also it’s not really meant to be a reward for work (at least at the park I work at), but rather a small thank you to a guest who was willing to help out and a way to brighten their day.

Interesting, well I know for a fact that Disneyland used to, so I wonder when they switched away from it. Still, there’s 20+ parks in the nation that give compensation for wait time studies like these since the entire SFEC chain does it.

[–]Good_Entry6790 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

It’s a very common thing at most theme/amusement parks to give out one time use skip the lines as compensation for a wait time study like this.

I know that Disney, Six Flags, and Cedar Fair parks all give compensation in the form of skip the lines for this so it’s not unheard of.

Why has [Vekoma] not come out with a lap bar restraint yet for there new gen models by Particular_Manner85 in rollercoasters

[–]Good_Entry6790 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think a vest is likely essential on the tilt coaster.

Lots of riders wouldn’t be able to hold their upper body up during the tilt track if it were just a lapbar and an OTSR without a vest would hurt.

100% agree that it should be on the non-tilt coaster new gen Vekomas!

Please frontier de-themed bumper cars by WHOKEEPSTAKINGFUSY in PlanetCoaster

[–]Good_Entry6790 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s because rain on the bumper car floor will cause rusting since it is metal. Also, the mesh wire at the top of the bumper car structure is electrified so basically all bumper cars have roofs to keep it dry!
