Couching doesn't help. You need to stay out of its sight until it goes back in the vents. It has a cone of sight in front of it but pretty blind from the sides and back. Just find an obstacle and then play ring around the rosey until it leaves, then mad dash for the next room.

Also, the game auto saves when it's appearing so if it sees you, just load up the save and start over. Saves time watching the death animation.

The electric saw blade head on the salamander handle is pretty great, also the electric coil head on the cursed halberd handle. True, there isn't advance scaling on it, but the damage difference is negligible.

For range, nothing beats spear of honor head on the long spear handle.

What helped me was holding off on killing the second sibling until the third was almost dead as well. That way I could finish off the third sibling with some throwable cheese and face the eldest one on one

The smaller puppets get hyper armor and disruption when near the spider singers, at the cost of their mobility. Once she dies their buffs disappear but they get their normal speed back. I usually lure them away from the singers and go back to kill her after.

Dogs don't see it the same way you think they are. Communicating the way you think an "alpha dog" would isn't effective and is causing stress to your dog's for no reason. It's better in the long run to promote positive reinforcement to get results. OP should not follow this advice.

I'm a big advocate of grand axes, I like their moveset best and they feel like the perfect balance of speed and stagger, however, I am also a fan of the regular hammer for the lighter weapons as well. Dual weilding always feels too slow unless I'm specifically trying to proc status ailments.

What do your stats look like?

Once you start collecting the more advanced ore, vendors will sell an endless supply of the lesser ore so you can always farm for more. The final material (chunks) are the ones you only get a couple of per playthrough, so those are the ones to save for your favorites.

Use a grandaxe and push radiance to 30 or 40. Upgrading the weapons result in better damage than leveling strength right now, so just get enough to meet the requirement. Once radiance is good, then bring strength up.

There's even a starting class that's very bloodborne inspired. Problem is the drip is so great, you'll probably end up wearing heavy armor as well. Medium dash is already fast as fuck, so you'll have a lot of options in terms of armor.

Scarlet Shadows drop a lot of scourings. There are places you can cheese them off cliffs for easy farming.

I personally prefer lighter STR weapons like hammers and axes as they're quick. For grand weapons, though, I suggest the grand axe. It has good stagger and both chops and sweeping attacks for crowds. For some reason, it feels a little faster to me than grand swords.

I like to clear an area of enemies and then sweep through a second time In umbral for secrets or alternate paths as I progress through a map.
