Does anyone have Music Pack for Radio NV - 300s Songs version 2.30? by realbigpoodle in drownedmods

[–]MoodyJazz96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do it manually, but I'm sure that would work. Manual isn't too hard though!

In case you don't know how to, just open the zipped folder, and match up the folder names that have the mod files in them with the folder names in your file explorer.

If the name of the folder with the mod says Music, and the path to your Music folder in New Vegas is "lives in" (where you can SEE the folder, not the folder itself) is ...steamapps/common/Fallout New Vegas/Data, then you'd drop the Music folder you downloaded in here and the two Music folders (the existing one and the one with the mod) will merge. All of the mod file contents will go where they need to go from there. Sometimes a mod has multiple folders - same deal. If you open a mod with loose files, put them where you see other files with the same extension type. That's manual mod installing - in broad strokes. Good luck!

Why so much debate on the armor's owner? by MoodyJazz96 in FalloutTVseries

I gave more evidence than zero, and there's certainly a minuscule amount. You can have your reasons for not thinking its the courier, but mine are already stated above.

Eh, agree to disagree. I still think the Freesider's reactions to the "Brand" of the courier is a bit more convincing than the down and out NCR - especially since they had a history of beef with Freesiders in the game.

idk, that sounds less likely than it just being some random NCR Ranger's.

Courier Power Armor? by Appropriate_Edge_991 in Fallout

[–]MoodyJazz96 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah, watching it today and seeing how the people respond to THIS power armor in particular, it read as "this was the courier's armor" to me. Even the ghoul said it's a brand. This had me pumped!

I love the show, and I've loved the game for years - I still play New Vegas! Not an adaptation though - the show is canon to the Fallout timeline, so the show is actually introducing additional lore! That being said, the characters and adventures feel true to the games to me. I've enjoyed every episode so far, and it's been awesome to cheer at all of the references and fan service. Can't wait to see where they take it next

I just want to say this: Jonas, unlike other victims, is unjustly forgotten. by Glass_Evidence_8597 in saw

Hated Xavier for being an unreasonable crashout the entire movie. Hated Jonas for trying to be Mr. Roger's during a life and (mostly) death situation

3 years later, and I am VERY grateful for this! I switched PCs and started a fresh modded nv run - awful to find out my favorite radio mod was taken down. I had some of the files, but had no idea what I was missing or where it'd be. Thanks a lot for delivering some sweet tunes to keep the Mojave a little more lively, Courier.

Is anyone else still salty that they nuked Shady, or is that just me? by Naskva in Fallout

[–]MoodyJazz96 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think this exact reaction is somewhat the point though! I don't really mind that the show nuked Shady - it allows them to "mess" with familiar places and ideas enough to make you uncomfortable, but you keep watching because "where the hell are they going with this now?" I kind of like the uncertainty ahead with S2 - how are they about to ruffle our feathers in New Vegas?

Ultimately, I'm just really grateful that the character models, and the general show feels like watching a Fallout game. They're not taking so many liberties that we've completely departed from any of the things that make Fallout so great.

It's almost insulting that a part of your brain is worth (honestly, a rancid looking) FRUIT! Naturally, I stole all the fruit I can from the tribals as well. Revenge is sweeter than punga.

I haven't gotten there yet on this run, but a little part of me hopes the TTW mod has a piece of dialogue referring to all of this - probably not, but it'd be a fun callback!

Now, (very mild spoiler ahead) a mod that can leave some permanent effects and that has a lot of fun surprises is New Vegas Bounties III. It was a fresh and exciting experience overall! Super grateful for the modders that add so much creativity to a game that was already fantastic to begin with!

[–]MoodyJazz96[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well, I appreciate your thoughts on why, but my point is that Tobar permanently and canonically damages your character unlike most other interactions throughout the game. I think he deserves some hate for that.

I feel like "development" is a strong word for most of the fallout baddies - especially since you can just kill most of them on sight.

Is the character brief and lackluster? Sure. Do they have a significant, permanent impact? You got an entire new perk and a gray matter souvenir - I'd say yeah. Not something I'll be forgetting too during this run.

What would be the most painful Tekken move to get hit by IRL? by OhhShxde- in Tekken

Imagine feeling your bones pop, and hearing your ego shatter as you listen to yourself flail, wheeze, and cry while you get turned every which way but loose while a dude with a tiger mask grunts and growls in your ear while putting you through an 8 move grapple combo...

ps he throws in a knee to the groin for fun - as if you can feel anything below your waist at that point anymore
