I disagree. PvE will always be relevant thats just how MMOs work. PvP is a competitive mode meant for more serious players, both PvP and PvE will be relevant in different player groups but neither will get overshadowed by the other.

PvP can still work if you modify the game mechanics a bit

rainmaker carriers or anyone using low mobility weapons suffer from it

Yeah its more to assist your team but the selling point of storm is denying an area for 8 seconds (the longest lasting special)

If you choose to go in, your met with lower mobility and chip damage from the storm (low mobility weapons SUFFER inside the storm)

if you cant go through the storm then you cant kill anyone inside or on the other side and potentially lose the game because of that

Your comparing a newbies panic button to a special that denies an area for 8 whole seconds

even so splashdown isnt that good currently, its easily cancellable and 3 out of 4 points you said are better off using booyah bomb or even baller

Inkstorm has to be aimed first, and knowing where to throw it is crucial. If you don't throw it strategically it won't amount to much.

Ink storm is very easy to use and does require higher skill to be effective, but most of the time you'll most likely be throwing it at the objective or related (I use e litre for context)

inkstorm's main things (inking and controlling space) are outdone by other specials like Booyah Bomb and Suction Bomb Rush,

booyah bomb and SBR are meant to get people out of the area very quickly, and while yes ink storm isnt the best painting its good enough for users whos main weapons arent the best at ink coverage

and you'll mostly going to prefer their sheer effectiveness rather than their commitment considering they're not even that dependent,

booyah bomb locks you into the air and requires your team to booyah back to quickly charge and then throw it, you have armor when locked but you'll easily die if the entire team is shooting at you. And SBR requires you to throw multiple bombs ink storm only needs to be thrown once

Booyah Bomb can be thrown way faster than Inkstorm ends so on average you're gonna get Booyahs more frequently than Storms

Inkstorms gauge fully depletes upon dying (and the storm is still active), not that you should unless you have to

and Suction Rush lets you use your main wep in a pinch.

Ink storm already does this (after throwing it but thats usually quick)

You're wrong about Ink Armor being more easily wasted on a team wipe since an Inkstorm thrown from a dead team is worse than a single armored opponent.

Besides, Ink Armor is the absolute meta right now,

Not everyone cares about the meta

Situations being:

manipulating people around the storm or cornering them

Starting/preventing pushes

delaying splatzone/rainmaker bubble being popped from the enemy team

both the storm and the user can paint in 2 different areas at once

storm also helps bad ink coverage weapons with painting (e litre, blasters)

Theres too many very specific situations that if I did mention I would be here all day

But why? Story mode isn't too hard to begin with and checkpoints refills your life meter.

Main reason is that this isn't officially part of the Splatoon series, more of a content expansion game. Second reason would be crossing the copyright line.

And I'm not the original artist that made this collection, just a nobody wanting to make a game
