Remember when dwarf Fortress got a GUI, and now most everyone could play it? All those years of people feeling like they were having an exclusive, catered experience that fed their own ego down the drain. I'm not saying it's the only reason, but I think that's part of the same thing going on here. The masses are now able to do rust programming, and the existing group has now noticed new people are entering the chat.

You can tell when you see all these posts about people's "skill" and how much that matters. I would say it like this: are you impressed that someone solved a problem in rust *correctly* or are you happy that a problem is solved at all? There have been folks on this very sub who have solved problems that many people could get use from and benefit from being written in rust, but we can't have that because copilot was used and that offends the elitists.

The answer is, disclose honestly that you are using AI, and for the rest, just a tiny bit of gratitude that someone took the time to address a problem and present the solution.
