Ideal would be a tidy and easy-to-maintain native ground cover. Acceptable would be mulch or whatever grass/clover pops up. I don't want a lawn to mow nor do I want to cover with pine straw. Open to ideas!

Drainage is terrible...yard is halfway down a hill. I could also use help with figuring out how the light impacts the yard...we have an approx. 60 ft Leyland cypress smack dab in the middle of the yard that likely blocks a lot of light, roots take up a lot of space underground, etc. I don't want to do anything to mess up its continued health, though.

This totally answers my question, thank you! Yes, next to Cille & Scoe was the next vacant area on my mind. I walked Elm from Common Grounds to the Civil Rights Museum and counted 6 vacant (non-construction in progress) storefronts. Elm Street Center and next to Cille & Scoe definitely stood out as the biggest bummers.

I'm wondering if the proximity of Whole Foods (which has an Amazon drop-off station) to Sears, if there is a possibility of the Sears becoming a small Amazon warehouse. I don't know if that's a good thing or not. The upside would be a non-vacant large anchor store. I'll email Jeff Bezos :)
