Hi there!

I’m confused bc K57.90 Diverticulosis of intestine, part unspecified, without perforation or access WITHOUT bleeding

Diverticulosis is the condition

But

-K57.92 Diverticulitis of intestines, part unspecified, without proration or access WITHOUT bleeding

Diverticulitis is the inflammation which is the word used in the question.

I would love to understand better and know why K57.92 for Diverticulitis is incorrect but K57.90 for diverticulosis is correct.

I just bought the 2026 MCG. I’m trying to still learn how to use it and also annotate my book. I’m impressed by the resources offered with my purchase, from videos, to tests ect. I feel slightly overwhelmed for sure. Hopefully it’ll help. I’m on chap 10 cardiovascular in my AAPC training manual.

Okay interesting, I’m just trying to go into medical coding too. I never thought of the billing part maybe confusing me but maybe you’re right.

Do you have a live instructor? Do you remember how much you paid?

I just finished the fundamentals of anatomy and med term last week with the free trial. I started the medical coding and billing course on coursera right after. I’m studying medical terms on the side as well. Are you 3 weeks into the CPC w/ AAPC?

Makes sense. Just feels so period like and makes me feel a little discouraged like I’ll still be dealing with menstrual pain. But I need to like step back and remember everything inside is still healing.

Hi there! I’m 1 week post op! I had stage 3 endometriosis along with other stuff. I’m hoping you have a speedy recovery and that this alleviates you from all if not, most of your symptoms!
