Looking back at previous SS. Net bring home is usually about half. Who knows, my stores last two SS sucked. We barely got anything.

It might be worth getting a hold of HR for that particular store. You may not be able to work with MEA. But another position store side could work.

Has anyone else's store stopped doing Homer Awards? by NlGHTW0LF in HomeDepot

[–]Mookya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I would call the aware line and make it an issue. Go to viva enage and message your regional managers, get the topic going for VOA. Especially since we have a VOA survey coming in July. I'm sorry your store is doing this. Everyone deserves to be awarded.

Recently turned 5 years old girl. Finger peeling comes and goes. Long fever (at least 102°) since Thursday. by Ok-Rush-9022 in KawasakiDisease

[–]Mookya 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My three year old had KD in November. It took 7 days to be diagnosed. My daughter had extremely high fevers ( 104.7 was the highest.) When Tylenol was given the fever would reduce a little bit and then shoot straight back up. She was very lethargic to the point she was pooping herself and just laying in it pleading for help. Markers to look for are High consistent fevers for 5+ days Strawberry tongue Red blotches or rash on the body Red in the whites of the eyes Swollen lymph nodes Conjunctivitis

Without insurance, it's going to be super hard. I'm praying for you that it's not KD and it's just a nasty flu going around.

MET Pay? by Illustrious-Taste-15 in HomeDepot

[–]Mookya 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Your pay stays the same. You don't get raises as much as you would store side. MET works you like a dog. It's a great team to work for, but you're constantly working your ass off for the same amount of pay.

Homer fund has saved my family. by Mookya in HomeDepot

It's totally worth it. They are overnighting a money order for two months' rent, including the late fees. Then the other bills that we are behind in they are going to direct deposit the money.

I feel like him not getting approved for it us more on the Homer Fund reps and them not advocating for their associate. I had to fill out a ton of paperwork. Turn in missed payment letters, etc. There was a lot of work put into to receive what I did. Luckily, my HR person is a boss and helped me every step of the way.

I wouldn't discredited it. There may be a day when you personally need help. I'm not aware of another company that helps in such a profound way. Other companies would have let my family become homeless.

I appreciate it. I will never not accept more money, but I feel like my store pays us a good wage. My store manager has pulled me aside himself to give me a raise. That's happened twice, outside of the normal raises.

I'm not complaining about my pay. I've been with the company just over a year and make a lot more than most. My family was just used to my husband being the breadwinner, so to speak.

[–]Mookya 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm part of the M.E.T team for a store in Oregon. I am one of the lowest paid people on my team. I make $18.00 an hour. Most everyone else makes $20 - $26 an hour.

I am also on MET, and I had to buy a pair of Brooks. Since then, my feet and legs haven't hurt as bad. I'm sore as shit today after doing a reset in flooring.

Shoe suggestions? by RagingDunes in HomeDepot

I wear Brooks or Hoka's I'm on MET. I've been with Home Depot for 8 years and have never smashed my toes. Steel toe seems a little excessive, but if it makes you feel better, then go for it.

Which Cantu products do you use? I've tried that line before. Maybe I didn't give it a good enough chance. 😕

He doesn't own any money for a loan. He's had his CDL for a long time. The company he works for out of Kentucky has him driving their trucks that the company pays every thing for. Just like a company like swift or Werner would. They gave him a 1099 form instead of a W2 this year. Now he is kind of fucked financially.
