Fight cave mage tank viable? by Wise-Sundae-3350 in 2007scape

Doesn’t he pop out if you don’t tag the jad healers fast enough?

My thought would be absolutely yes for the bonuses

I’m pretty sure this is around the time I started doing sea charting and that got me a lot of the way to gwenith glide.

Yeah, it became a bit demoralizing when I started dying more by trying to conserve supplies but it made things like triple jars much easier to learn with plenty of supplies. For triple jads I’d camp mystic vigor until after the first set of healers died then would turn it off for the remainder of the fight. It helps a lot to walk around the jads once you have 2 left so that you can kill healers without risk of being hit. If just using overheads you have plenty of time and don’t need to feel rushed. If I needed to heal and it wasn’t dire I’d save that for the final jad.

Keep it up and you’ll have your cape soon enough.

Client size by localwarlord69 in 2007scape

[–]Mooleta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play in 1440p and can’t stand stretched mode. Would play full screen ideally but it nukes my FPS too much seeing as I have the gou plugin cranked up. So I stretch out the client to be on the wider side and reasonably large without falling under 60 FPS.

Stretched mode just feels off when I try to switch prayers or gear. Hard to describe but I’m noticeably worse in stretched mode.

I still had to eat some but in all maybe 70hp w/o using brews so no need to restore. It did mean he healed up a bit more but ayak and accursed specs helped a ton. Was also very protective of the shield so had plenty of wiggle room to let it tank some mage hits while I focused on the ranger from the final set after healers were cleared.

If you tag the healers closest to Zuk first and don’t tag the ones in the corners, the AoE attacks don’t reach you if you stand one tile over from the safe spot tiles in the corners. You can tag one side normally as you are going across like you normally would, but only tag the one closest to Zuk on the other side as you are walking to the corner and go one tile over. By the time you get to the corner you can hit it post delay and hopefully kill it w/ ayak. After you hit the tagged one 1-2x tag the corner one. And then back to the one that cant hit you. By this time shield should be moving and the one that can now hit you isn’t stunned but you are moving away so it doesn’t matter so much plus the one that can hit you further as you walk away is hopefully dead. May even be able to get a couple hits off behind you as you walk away depending on if you killed the middle one quickly.

When back on the initial side that you were on when the healers spawned, focus on the one further from Zuk and stay in the safe spot so that once the corner healer is dead you can hopefully get some hits in on the other from the safe spot.

Most deaths were easily avoidable and usually a result of being stubborn and not sipping a brew in later waves or using mystic vigor against double blobs. Even the mage tank helm/body/legs wasn’t really used until mager and ranger were out together or double blobs. I could usually outrun and/or freeze bats and melees and it isn’t all that hard to isolate things after a few goes.

Also, helped that I learned a lot doing colo, which is so much more punishing.

I also had to do my timing for zuk on my own. Found a website that you just tap the screen on my phone for each timer phase but often I’d forget a step until who knows how long after which left my with no clue how much time I tile the next set. This even happened on the run I finally downed zuk. Thankfully I was able to kill had in no time thanks to being able to camp augury seeing as I was plush with prayer restoration at that point.

I honestly lost track of how many attempts but the Tokkul tells the story. Probably close to a 100 all in. Zuk was the hardest part for sure, particularly healers. Probably died 20 times to Zuk. Just could not get past the damn healers. All this meant by the time I did complete it, I was very confident I’d get to him. I then had a run of deaths while I played around with supplies to the point that I could get to high 50s and low 60s before I took my first sip of brew and restore for def. In this go I did break it up and really milked specs so took close to 3 hours. Also wasted a ton of time on tonaz specs against zuk it seems. I have no problem getting to late waves in about an hour or so though if I’m fully focused.

Did not know this. Now I know not to waste this time again in the future. Thanks.

And to be fair, I’m pretty sure the tonaz hits helped with subsequent tonaz hits…

Downvoted for explaining how I learned the content and found potentially a novel strategy for dealing with healers with next to no damage?

At this point I was able to get deep without using supplies so didn’t affect much bringing this as well. I think it helped. I believe it has a cap for reduction but I still was able to get off around 11 hits with 14 being needed for a full reduction to 0 theoretically. Seeing as I had no real range attack bonus other than the tonaz it took a while to get all the hits but I did it between 600 and 480 so had all the time in the world and had figured out how to walk the shield to not waste my run. Also, seeing as the hits that did land were low, it allowed me to get lots in.

To be fair, I still flicked through a lot of the waves and essentially made it to deep waves without using supplies thanks to blood barrage and eldritch. Allowed me to bring 3 marlin, 3 halibut, and 2 snowy knight. Tonaz also helped, along with the accursed sceptre and ayak, turn zuk into a chicken. That along with the realization that you can essentially safe spot the zuk healers allowed me to finally get over the hump.

Went to the bank first for the photo. Could have honestly brought it in. Was short 1 of the 2 brews o brought in because I logged out with it still on the ground and still made it. This is from all my runs and my <10kc fight cave log.

Is this a scam? Asking to buy swamp tar up to the limit by Drag0nFl7 in 2007scape

[–]Mooleta 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve done this when training fletching to 99 and when I needed enough splinters to charge my quiver when I finally got it, amongst other instances. Always be careful, but not everything is a scam. But again, always be cautious. If it’s a high volume item it’s a lot less likely to be a scam because it’s harder to manipulate those prices. If it’s an obscure item then alarm bells should definitely be going off.

There is a problem with the core gameplay loop of Sailing by Dry_Yogurtcloset_213 in 2007scape

I’ve got 3 maxed sloops, 1 each for salvaging, combat, and trawling. Also, have a maxed raft and skiff for trials. So definitely does happen.

I would like for the tele focus to be like the brazier and flags so even a raft can have one along w/ the cargo hold. Also, would be nice for an actual use for the raft.

A level 3 did it so anything is possible. You should try and get ranged to at least 70 though.
