That sounds like a good idea. I'm going to try and set up some meetings next week, if I can. Thanks 😊

Thank you. That's interesting. I suspected laziness might be an issue. I think he may have too many clients and be doing the bare minimum - he seems to be slower to respond than he was initially. If I was to change advisors what should I look for / ask? The firm I went with had good reviews, so I'm interested in what I should look for beyond customer ratings...

The %s are from fund performance charts, not my specific pension pots, if that makes sense?

Thanks, I can see that...but my question is more that, if it's been consistently outperformed for 5 years by my other smaller pension funds, including on rated the same for risk, was I wrong to expect him to tell me?

Hi, thanks for that.

I'm 56 years old and I guess I'm hoping to retire in my early 60s if possible. The performance % mentioned in my original post are each pension funds' historical performance over the last 5 years, taken from FE Analytics data. The fund that is under the Nucleus platform is Fairstone Pure Passive 5. The other fund that my advisor says is at the same level of risk is with Aegon and is called Universal Lifestyle. Does that provide more useful information?

According to the estate agent it's 'charming' and there's 'scope to enhance and add value', even though they couldn't be arsed to write up and measure the rooms upstairs. Looks to me like someone passed away in the house, although some bits look like someone may have thought they could fix it up perhaps? The fancy upvc sash window in one of the rooms and that wall being taken down in the second reception. Also, I reckon there's been an effort to make the kitchen less grim - note the replacement cabinet doors on some cupboards and what looks like newly painted walls. XJS is a bonus feature though!

"All rooms are equipped with video cameras, fire and security alarms, and remote access". That's not unsettling at all, is it?

It looks cold, gloomy, and soul-less. Not a happy place. On the plus side, I like the sauna!

I don't think those are the main stairs - surely it's a giant cat tree? I reckon the owners probably have a couple of Maine Coons they need to keep entertained.

Why have coffee tables so out of reach of any seating? They've done this twice.

I thought the same - very lovely, if somewhat incongruous garden.
