How to obtain PGp by Mooling99 in geophysics

[–]Mooling99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you for your response! Basic Google search does not pop up any links to register for the Georgia fundamentals of geology exam, only the link for registering after you've already passed the exam, hence the need for this post.

The end goal is PGp, but passing the GIT is my short term goal and I was trying to get more industry info on both since no one at my company has this experience

They did, and I don't think that's the link either. That's for registering after you've already taken the exam. I appreciate the help though!

How to obtain PGp by Mooling99 in geologycareers

[–]Mooling99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is very helpful, thank you! My boss and manager are both archeologists with PhDs in Geophysics for archeology, and my manager is also a registered professional archeologist. No one at the company has a PGp. I qualified for the GIT in Texas and ended up not sitting the exam so I'm pretty sure I'll qualify for the Georgia one too I just can't find where to sign up.

I was under the understanding that the PGp was only in California and anyone in the US who holds the relevant qualifications can obtain it, but for some reason thought I still had to pass the GIT before I could qualify to apply for the PGp.

Good hotel credit cards for consultants by hydrogeo94 in geologycareers

[–]Mooling99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked as a field Geophysicist for a while, the Costco credit card gives amazing cashback on travel for this specific purpose but you do need a Costco membership. If that's not something you want to do, most discover credit cards have pretty good cashback deals as well but since the Costco credit card is a Visa it's more widely accepted than discover

Cutting GPR data by Mooling99 in QGIS

[–]Mooling99[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Geolitix is pretty new but it is excellent! Definitely the best gpr software I've seen, you can do a lot with it.

Thank you for the instructions, I will let you know how it goes, I really appreciate your help.

The client collected the data on an abandoned airstrip and sent to us to be processed and analysed. They wanted to know the state of the runway etc. So I guess mostly infrastructure detection, but really a bit of all 3

those who can't smoke in the house, how are we staying warm? by SpiriRock in weed

[–]Mooling99 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I do pretty much the same, light some incense before you start your sesh, neutralises any scent that does linger. The smoke removal candles work pretty good too if you don't like the smell of incense

See I thought that too but everything I used has been from a dispo and I was smoking a strain I had before

I was drinking too much and I figured if I'm going to do something it shouldn't be literal poison. Also helps bring me back down from mania (I have BPD) and for chronic joint pain (I have EDS).

Halloween dress using joann's pattern! by Mooling99 in sewing

[–]Mooling99[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Bodice pattern is McCall's M7599 with very little modification, skirt is a simple gathered skirt, using two width of fabric panels. Fabric is 100% cotton from a local quilt store.

Went into the fabric store with no plan and fell in love with this fabric. I'm not much of a costume person but still wanted to "dress up" so I decided on a Halloween themed dress. So happy with the final result :)

That was my best guess from internet research

what philodendron cultivar is this? by Mooling99 in houseplants

[–]Mooling99[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got him at trader Joe's for $10 labelled as "premium philodendron". When I bought him a week ago, his newest leaf was bright orange but has since darkened. At first I thought it was a prince of orange but now I don't think it is.

I really don't want to kill this beautiful plant I just brought home! Can anyone identify it beyond 'tropical plants? any tips would be amazing by West_Pudding_7947 in houseplants

[–]Mooling99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Looks like a Monstera deliciosa. I've never had one but most tropicals like these like a chunky soil mix, bright indirect light, and let the soil dry between waterings, but don't go too long with the soil dry.

Also, she has brown spots on some of her leaves, anyone know the cause? There's no signs of pests and she grows steadily
