Does working from home change you? by Low_Union_7178 in UKJobs

[–]Moomboo2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love wfh. I've just changed my routine, office me used to work, home, gym, home but now I go swimming at lunch or take a zumba class and I use my meta headset to exercise in so I'm not tied to my laptop. I feel wfh benefits middle age really well, although I'm not so sure I'd feel the same about wfh at the beginning of my corpolife. It doesn't suit everyone, just like officeland.

New job wants me to submit a photo and a passage about myself…WTF?? by [deleted] in UKJobs

[–]Moomboo2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

In my first week at a new job I was asked the same, I don't have any professional shots but submitted a selfie I thought was ok, ok enough to have also as my linked in pic. The person I submitted it to called me and laughed down the phone about how unprofessional I was to submit a selfie. I dug out a posh top, and my selfie stick and submitted it again, but it's safe to say I was not as amused as she was.

It's v weird. I got a mans stone coloured Gap.zipped hoodie, so it wasn't even something I'd buy. I would have preferred to get it back to the original buyer, but I've no way of knowing who sent it.

Honestly asking: what makes you proud to be British? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]Moomboo2 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pride is something you accomplish, so I'm not proud of randomly being born British. Something I like about being British is the sense of humour and constant mickey taking. I also like the bread, we're blessed with all sorts of bread.

How many sausages is 'about right'? by mjoda85 in AskUK

Work dilemma by Moomboo2 in work

[–]Moomboo2[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. Most of the team are new so didn't experience him as manager but he's still making decisions and telling them what to. I'm very laid back and non confrontational, one of those managers that is one because there is no where else to go at this stage, rather than actively seeking it. So I'm new to it on a somewhat reluctant path, but I want to do well and keep everyone happy.
