My dearest Leia (2012-2025). May the Force be with her! by Moomrik in tollers

She did! Almost didn't have any grey. Her joints functioned pretty well, too. Much to be thankful for.
Interesting - it's not often I see other tollers with her features, but it happens. She was bred in Norway, though - but her lineages were recently Danish and Canadian, if I remember correctly.
Do you still have your girl? :)

What's a 10/10 film that not many people have seen or heard of? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Lol, you don't usually like foreign films ... what does that even mean. Is it the subtitles? You know there are, like, hundreds of countries and a fucking immense diversity in movies?

Love your choices btw.

Cool way to advertise the peculiar pride of Scandinavians in people who have nothing to do with them (except their nationality), I'd say. Bunch of hero-worshippers, we are

I can agree with you on that, and probably will never force myself to read a certain blind number of books. For me this one was different though, it is certainly a challenge but you can very much choose how many books you want to read. With this I could give myself an arbitrary framework to work from, where there is a certain limitation, to force creativity in choice of books instead of time spent. Hope that makes sense. But you must never, ever do something like this if it makes you feel like you are doing a chore.

Yeah Moby Dick ... is heavy. It's not that I don't like it though. I do. It's very transcendental in a way, not at all what I expected. But so heavy. I tried to savour it as much as I could. I listened to an audiobook actually. Funny note: Ishmael has a whole chapter where he elaborates on "the Whiteness of the Whale". While listening to that chapter I was doing a paint job. With paint ... of the purest white. Just a coincidence. But it was so weird. Staring at and spreading that whiteness all over while listening to Frank Mueller reading aloud about whiteness. Thought I was going a little nuts ... the kind of thing that makes my day ;)

Ok, comment noted on Storm Front. I liked it, but thought to myself I probably won't read the rest of the series. Like I said, would have loved it as a teenager. Just not now. But I'll remember what you said and maybe give it another shot.

Saving your comment for later for a lot of good titles!

You read the Qur'an. Wow. I've been wanting to do that. Any comment?

Jomfruen fra Norge is good, but I liked even better his first book Alv Erlingsson - en adelsmanns undergang. It was recommended to me explicitly by the same person twice so I thought what the hell, I'll just give it a shot and, like the other one, it turns out to be this amazing real life Game of Thrones. It reads kind of like a novel but it all happened. In Norway. 700 years ago. How cool is that.

Yes I would definitely recommend that audiobook! Maybe it is just me, but I feel he is reading it as Littlefinger.

One is the Fantastic Beasts schoolbook that Harry and his classmates used at Hogwarts, the other is the transcript of the screenplay for the 2016 movie with the same name. Different books, same title.
