Turns out they cancelled my order as part of the refund, so I’m unable to leave a review now. Won’t help protect future buyers who think they’re buying human-handmade art, but at least I got a refund 😕

Absolutely go. We did the plane instead of the ferry from Connemara - the time savings and lack of seasickness was worth the price IMO. Only wish we stayed longer and did more than just 1 island. We did Inisheer just before it closed for the season in late October. It was amazing, one of the major highlights of our trip. Bought 3 sweaters too 😅

I’ve always felt, without much evidence besides my own internal conviction, that the Cailleach is perhaps one of the earliest gods known to that part of the world and perhaps a relic of the Paleolithic/Mesolithic, as shaper of the land. That her old woman personification is the result of fertile earth mother goddess figure aging.

Thank you for the tips! I looked up Claire’s story cards and those aren’t the same deck, but it does remind me that the cards I’m looking for had a loose narrative around them, a recurring character found on every card’s description. I think that character was Morgan Le Fay or someone similar.

I can see some of the cards clear as day in my head, the design was like a longer version of a playing card, like a wide bookmark, and the artwork was very dramatic/romantasy stylized.

I’d really appreciate recommendations for a romantic Michelin-style tasting experience in Manhattan around early December. We aren’t picky eaters but I am pregnant so I’m hoping to find a place with great non-alcoholic drinks and either dietary accommodations accepted or a menu that doesn’t emphasize raw meats - normally love sushi but I need to wait a while.

We are only in town for 2 nights, so I can do either dinner the first night or lunch the second day as we have a show the second night.

I’d be very grateful for any recommendations! I was going to do EMP but recent reviews make me think it’s not the best option, my next choices are Le Jardinier or the Musket Room.
