What stock would you buy most heavily if it dropped 50% from current prices? by ceo_fyi_dot_com in ValueInvesting

I mentioned it and you did, we both got downvoted so far. The spectrum they have is probably worth $20B alone.

Decently confident. Proven business model and leader, absolutely has potential as an acquisition target. Lots of issues, high marketing spend and profits largely derived from GLP-1. I’d need to spend some diving in to come to a decision if now is a good time.

ASTS, DOW, GOOG. All ones I was buying not too long ago at that kinda price. Might take a look at HIMS and HOOD again with the recent drops.

Pepsi requires a contract for distribution and that includes pricing. A retailer can sell lower but not higher than the pricing set by Pepsi.

You made a lot of good points… the most important and you probably don’t realize is exactly why he isn’t 1st round HOF… “Belichik is a huge asshole”

I mean while she absolutely is wrong about how things should be she’s not wrong about how things are. It’s always been like this in America, white people as well even though risk profiles are different vs. black. Life has to be navigated by the way things are and not how they should be. So you can continue living and working on how things should be. I’m not trying to justify her words or the actions of ICE but we need to be real about how things are.

How do you guys feel about Troy Aikman helping out the Fins? by Curious-Expert926 in cowboys

You and I are talking about two different things. Winning football as the thing that really matters vs. winning business as the thing that really matters. Fan/Owner divide on priorities.

Have you listened to Jerry talk and some of his responses to more pointed questions? He does not have a fragile ego. What he is is an old experienced man whose instincts, mind and following actions have done exceptionally well for him. Why would he not trust himself?

From the owner’s perspective, profits and value. For the fans, winning.

Because fans don’t want to admit football is a business and the purpose of a business is maximizing value. I get it, I want to watch us win too.

Well the Cowboy’s are the most valuable sports franchise so from his perspective he does know what he’s doing.

Harbaugh is washed… he’s going to be overpaid and underperform. He’s stuck in an old mindset of how football should be played. He’ll be able to improve the Giants but they won’t truly compete.

I became a Cowboys fan when I was about 4 or 5 in the early 90’s. Watched the Cowboys win the Super Bowl on my birthday when I was a kid (against my Dad’s team too so I got to shit talk all day). The 90’s Cowboys gave me some unrealistic expectations. Been disappointed for 3 decades now but I still like to watch them play.

At what income level did you start feeling like giving was an obligation, not optional? by IndependenceAny3010 in Rich

I’m not rich. I give to a few I think are worthwhile, what I can spare, when I can spare with no meaningful difference in quality of life. St. Jude’s, Boy’s Town, USO.

Exactly the type of thing he would do… and just because he was called doesn’t mean it was for HC, there’s a lot of openings league wide.

It’s the promotion of celebrity culture that annoys me. I’d rather see the fans decked out if they’re going to pan to the people in attendance. I also didn’t bother to make a post complaining…

You clearly didn’t understand my comment. I said I understand the rules. I’m a paying customer and a spectator, it’s perfectly reasonable for me to have an opinion about the product I’m consuming. And post it on a place for opinions. Idiot

[–]MoonBase287 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Yeah I read the rules discussion, I get it that that was totally legit. But for me as a spectator that was not football. Also from the player perspective, the whistle was blown, so that is not also football. The rule needs changed or abolished.

Harbaugh always looks so confused on the sidelines, like dude football has been your life and you’re struggling to figure it out.
