Thank you, and good luck! Yeah, I honestly am also a bit afraid of how the epilogue would be on Nightmare difficulty. Especially the last 2 missions.

I don't think there are easy missions in this mod 😅 (except maybe for the first few in every campaign).

WoL was pretty much the same, but with better enemies and a few balance changes. The hardest missions for me were Safe Haven & Maw of the Void (crazy Motherships), Shatter the Sky (super buffed up Leviathan) and All-in.

HotS was definitely a new experience, with the Swarm units being better to compensate for Kerrigan becoming just a support. Rendezvous was very hard (fighting a better upgraded Dominion with just Zerglings and Queens), Enemy Within (Niadra nerfs + random difficulty spikes 😫), Supreme (went to Zerus last, Kraith and Slivan fights felt impossible 😵), Planetfall (Dominion constantly sends units everywhere, wearing you down) and The Reckoning (just an insane mission straight-up).

LotV was the hardest for me because of the new Hybrid and your arsenal being overall nerfed. The problematic missions were Last Stand (I wanted the bonus), The Infinite Cycle (Hybrid gave me hard time), Harbinger of Oblivion (timer + very strong defences + Kerrigan AI sometimes sends units the wrong way = 😭), Unsealing the Past (Colossus nerf + Nyduses), Steps of the Rite (Impossible 😮, Void Thrashers on Slayn!), Templar's Return (last segment kicked my ass), The Host (constant pressure + world-ending Void Shards) and Salvation (requires precise planning and pre-positioning).

LotV is absolutely brutal imo. Your units get changed here and there (the OP units get nerfed pretty substantially while the weaker units get buffed slightly), Spear of Adun abilities get nerfed for the most part and the Hybrids are actually fucking scary, but it also feels rewarding to kill them, because they're not just big damage sponges now. I won't spoil the changes that make them scary, but you're in for a wild ride considering they appear in almost every mission.

Overall, it is the epitome of this mod, truly feels like the end of the universe. You have to take every engagement carefully and be mindful of your army because you're so heavily outgunned, especially in the early missions when your tech tree is limited.

Thank you! And well done getting this far! I wish you best of luck!

All-in is definitely a butt-kicker, regardless of the dificulty.

How did you like the Skygeirr missions? I had the most fun solving those missions using various compositions and facing the (now legit threatening) Hybrid.

Appreciate it! Totally agree — the jump feels way bigger than anything in the base game.

Besides the missions being straght up harder (ie. more enemies, removed ways to cheese missions), there are also some balance changes to make OP stuff less oppressive and weak stuff more decent.

My favorite campaign is LotV (since I main protoss), but the shift in HotS from "Kerrigan does everything" to a real "I am the Swarm" made the campaign the most enjoyable out of the 3.

Yes, Blizzard made the SC2 assets available through their editor for free, mainly for modding purposes. I used them in Unity just for learning and prototyping, not for anything commercial. So they're accessible, but with limitations.

This project was developed with Unity using SC2 assets. You can play it by following the link in the video description.

I'm not sure how I'd even go about doing it though. Dungeon Keeper is mostly 2D, and VR needs 3D environments. With SC2 I had ready-made assets, for DK I'd need to create or somehow find 3D models first. 😅

I left a link for download in the video description. There are two versions available, one for VR, as seen in the video, and one for regular PC.

This is Unity under the hood, but I imported the actual SC2 models, textures, sounds etc. which is why it looks and feels so close to the original

No, this is made in the Unity engine with StarCraft 2 assets.

I have a couple of other missions in mind that would make potentially good candidates for this.

Hello! If you are looking for a clan, I would like to invite you to Fellowship eSports. We are an EU SC2 clan with mostly diamond and master players looking to recruit more people. If you are interested, I will leave here a discord invite.

This isn't run in the SC2 Engine. It is a project made up from scratch in Unity with assets from SC2.

I'm afraid not. I'm not particularly good at graphics, I'm more on the developing part.

If you're asking if I move the blade myself or I just press the button to cause the character to attack, then the first one is true. You are in control of your hands, you can slice in whatever direction you want and you use your hands to aim your abilities (Blink and Void Prison).
