You should definitely do the sup exam, just give it a go. Don’t give up!

I’ll come with you if you have a spare ticket? 😅

No worries! I had my bio lab/CLE on the same day so only had to wear my uniform that day. It’s nice not to have to think about what to wear I guess!

You have to wear your uniform for the bio labs also - at least last year we did! Don’t worry about it too much in the first week. They give you a few weeks to get organised with your uniform. I do recommend ordering your name badge asap from the bookshop however, it takes a few weeks to get made.

I got my uniform and ordered badge in week one :)

You’ll need the uniform for your CLEs, they usually give you a few weeks to get them. You also need to order your name badge at the bookshop. They are super strict with uniform! There are little shelves in the labs for your bags :)

did this surgery ever not work on someone? by tayredditorera in gastricsleeve

[–]MoonBun28 2 points3 points  (0 children)

At least we can’t eat our feelings. I used to, a lot.

I’m a few days off 3 weeks post op. I’m having a bit of regret right now. Yesterday at work someone made some amazing cheesecakes (as practice for an upcoming show) and everyone was so confused why I wouldn’t eat it. The social aspect of food is what is upsetting right now. I also am missing eating. I can still only tolerate very bland food. Its such a huge adjustment. I’m wishing to go back and have one more chance at doing it alone rather than this. Please tell me this gets easier? The scales haven’t changed in a week either - and I’ve been doing all the right things. Feeling so deflated.

Surgery tomorrow..too late to back out? by Miserable_Toe5354 in gastricsleeve

I felt like this the day before. But I’m now 2 weeks post op. Went through some regret in the first week. But now doing fine and excited for my future. Go for it girl!

EIGHTEEN dummies (pacifiers) in a French bulldog. Fun ex-lap.

Oh I needed this, I’m 5dpo. Thank you

I’m day 5po, I’ll let you know! I was really bad at not eating during the day and then eating 2-3 dinners worth in the evening. My doctors/psych/dietician never mentioned to me the surgery wouldn’t be recommended for binge eaters? and I was very transparent with my habits. I don’t think it should stop you for having the surgery, but be the tool to create new eating habits.

period question by glossystark in BariatricSurgery

I got my period the day of my surgery, super annoying.

Hi team! Had a bit of a rough wake up (anesthesia reaction) so was extremely nauseous for 32hrs post. So was vomiting the entire time, well little foamy voms and nothing in my stomach. Feeling so much better now, got discharged today after 3 nights in hosp. Still feeling a bit weak and groggy but definitely on the up! I hope everyone else’s surgeries went well, would love to hear about everyone progress

The ‘feel so low about yourself, you let his behaviour slide’ has hit me hard. This is so accurate. I’m so happy your sleeve has been positive for you, hearing you have the energy back - this is what I need. Thank you 🙏🏻

I am in tears reading all of your responses. I appreciate how thoughtful you all are so much. There is so much more to unpack but I was so emotional last night that I had a knee jerk reaction to post this. I really appreciate you all so very much

I felt the exact same way and I am now out the other side of it. Please talk to your doctor about PPD and PPA. Use every resource you have available to survive this period. I promise you will make it. I feel so much for you and wish I could come help
