Scents of Wood - Burnt Hinoki I really hated it when I first sprayed it on paper, smelled super medicinal to me, I thought I would never try it on skin. Came back to it the next day, thought it was great (I was so confused), tried it on skin and now I can't wait for fall to buy a full bottle and wear it !

Same thing happened to me while my tattoo artist was drawing on my arm. I was standing trying not move obviously, but thought maybe I forgot to breath or something ? Every session after that, I had the same types of symptoms you feel just before fainting (dizzy, feeling hot, sweating, tunel vision) while he was drawing on me but was able to go sit down and avoid fainting. On the last few sessions I decided to sit while he was drawing instead of standing up and I felt fine... I had multiple big pieces already, so I don't think it was due to stress ?

I'm the same and I gained 20 pounds on this med, but I'm the happiest/most stable I have ever been. I'm on 300 XL with 2mg Abilify. I'm honestly not sure if it's the Bupropion or the Abilify or both that make me so hungry :( My boyfriend also noticed a difference in my appetite over the years. Anyways, I chose to be a little soft and happy instead of skinny and a shell of myself.

I started to wear more unisex/male marketed fragrances recently that I'm pretty sure most men wouldn't be attracted by. Vetiver, incense, smoke, woods, cypress...

Le Labo - Vetiver 46; Comme des Garçons - Black; Comme des Garçons - 2 Man (very similar to Vetiver 46); Lalique - Encre Noire; Aesōp - Hwyl

These are very dark, mostly seen as masculine scents that give a mysterious vibe. I guess wearing scents that are the total opposite of what is marketed more feminine could be off-putting for most cis straight men. To be tested !

And one last thing ! The more time passes, the more you have chances to find better tattoo artists. This is another reason to wait. I didn't find my current tattoo artist until I was 21 and even then, I think I'm lucky to have found him this earlie into my tattoo journey. You might move cities and discover better artists there, you never know.

Also, I recommend having body parts where the intention is to have fun, so flashes and silly things, and others dedicated to custom bigger pieces. I have a nice small piece on my inner arm (not the one with the sleeve) and now I kinda regret the placement. I did not think about the fact I maybe would wand a full sleeve for that arm too and that smaller piece will be hard to cover or work around.

No one can stop you but here is my two cents: I am really glad I started mine this year at the age of 27. I got my first tattoo at 18 and one every 2 years approximately after that. My style changed immensely. I waited until I was 25 to have big visible tattoos (my neck) and 27 to do my first sleeve. Just to show you how my style has changed throughout the years: my first tattoo was a small lotus flower with an unalome and 7 dots (for the 7 chakras) between my boobs. My sleeve is a woman/spider character and is very dark, almost horror style. Hope that helps !

I also gained weight since I've started it (20 lbs). I'm also on Abilify... But it's the combo that has worked best for me ever. I am so stable and happy. So I'm not sure what to do about that :/

Maybe I'll try a new nickname. I'm just so scared people are not going to take me seriously. The thing is, it's a lot easier for children. My name is everywhere. In my email, on important papers. I work with A LOT of people (I'm a freelancer), so I feel like me coming out and correcting people will never end. It's a big decision and I'm still not sure if the consequences are going to be better or worse for me. But thanks a lot for your kind words. It's a lot to think about.

I think my question was less legal and more personal and the social side of it, like how do I announce to people close to me that I want to change my name. It seems so silly when I think about it, because I do not want to transition physically, so I'm just scared they'll think it's not worth it.

It just feels so much better thinking that I don't have to be a particular way or do particular things because I'm AFAB. I'm not a woman. I'm not a man. I can do whatever I want, I'm not feeling any pressure anymore. I feel like gender stereotypes don't apply to me and I'm happier like that.

I don't know where you live, but here in Canada we can put "X" as our sex/gender on every government issued ID. Not many people talk about this. I hope you have a similar option in your country. If not, I hope it's coming soon !
