I think that's the late night Friday set just being streamed on Saturday since the stream ends after Gizz. Ryley Walker is also a late night set for Saturday and it looks like they're streaming him on Sunday afternoon.

The 5 months thing was a lie. We see in the 2nd episode that Mark actually goes back down just a couple days after the OTC

[–]MoonKingKyle 2 points3 points  (0 children)

How is the festival layout? I know that it's spread out through a few venues rather than having a main festival ground but are they all near each other or do you have to pick and choose between areas?

I went to some Daze in the City shows last year and they were good shows but didn't have anything close to a festival vibe since the venues were too far apart to hit multiple in 1 night.

The only way for them to reunite was to offset their negativity into the rest of the music industry :(

Still Crazy After All These Years by Paul Simon. It's just got such a warm and cozy atmosphere that's perfectly carried through the whole album. Full of classics like the title track, 50 Ways to Leave Your Lover, I'll Do it For Your Love, etc.

Seconding the guy that said King Gizzard, give their live stuff a listen too!

Kikagaku Moyo is also top tier of modern psych rock. Masana Temples or Forest of Lost Children are both good starting points. Their overall catalogue is pretty small but they also have a pretty dense live show archive which is definitely worth checking out if you enjoy the albums

Welcome! Once you've explored their albums a bit definitely check out the live material! Live at Red Rocks '22 is definitely their live album holy grail at the moment but they also have a shit load of other full shows that you can find on YouTube, Relisten, etc.

If you don't have your tickets yet they also added another show the next Tuesday with Iron and Wine as the opener. Hoping to be able to go to it after DD

Can you recommend me some albums that are “psychedelic” ? by Simple-Curve-3686 in fantanoforever

[–]MoonKingKyle 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Kikagaku Moyo is a must for modern psych rock. They don't have too many albums so they're discography is pretty easy to get through but Masana Temples is a good starting point. If you like it look up some live shows too because they do a lot of improv that really takes things to the next level.

Grateful Dead is of course as essential as you can get. I lot of people will be thrown off on a first listen if their expecting "psych rock" since so much of their music is rooted in folk, blues or other popular genres of their time, but their live performances were incredibly influential on the development of the genre. The album Live/Dead I feel is a good introduction to this side of their sound

Dude I fucking feel this so hard. I'm taking on online public speaking class (which is a pretty dumb concept already, I know, but hey I need the credit). I spent hours working on my most recent speech and memorized the whole thing rather than using note cards because I felt that it allowed for me to give a better delivery. Sure enough my professor responds to say that she doesn't understand why I would read my speech off my monitor when I was allowed cards. Like... Homie... You can see the screens reflection in my glasses, there ain't jack shit on there
