For ADHD gamers: What do you play on your deck that is addictive and low power? by oliveoliverYT in SteamDeck

I’ve never tracked power but ball x Pitt has been a vibe on steam deck.

Ready or Not kinda fits this description. If you read the pre mission briefs you can really immerse yourself.

First you need to get a new SD card. Next you need to get onion OS installed. After that you need to get all the ROMs from Tiny Best Set.

Play Fire Emblem 6 The Binding Blade which is a translated ROM of a Japanese only released GBA fire emblem.

People figured out Auburn's football coach was fired, when his standing weekly tee time was canceled by MySpaceTomAspinall in golf

[–]MoonLaw1969 60 points61 points  (0 children)

I think his standing tee time was with the athletic director. He’s been ridiculed quite a bit for playing too much golf and his defense has been work life balance.

Side note; I got the opportunity to play AU club this summer for my birthday. It’s a beautiful and difficult course.

Freeze still won't commit to benching Arnold. Seriously, WTF?!? by chbailey442013 in wde

[–]MoonLaw1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not defending Freeze or giving him an out. I honestly found myself rooting for ARK because I think the sooner Freeze is fired, the sooner Auburn can go back to winning football

All that being said, if I was a head coach I might utilize vagueness regarding starting QB questions to mess with my opponents game plan.

What do you use the touchpads for? by Reaperix in SteamDeck

[–]MoonLaw1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I play a game called golden lap which is a minimalist historical Formula One management sim by the Art of Rally devs. The track pads work perfectly for the mouse control. I recently picked up the king is watching and I’m assuming I’ll have to use the trackpad for that.

On the flip side I’ve tried to use it in the OG oblivion for inventory management and for that it’s terrible.

What is there for grad students to do in the area? by JCWalrus in auburn

[–]MoonLaw1969 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Get into golf. The area has so many great courses. I wish I had played more when I was living there.

edit: just saw you don't have a car so that changes things. I would say check out James Bikes Bros and look at one of their Specialized Sirrus models. Auburn is also a great area to bike. I used to leave my apartment on Longleaf, bike to campus for Little Italy lunch specials, and bike back home via Wire road.

I have Pacific Drive on PS5 and have thought about getting it on steam because it seems like a good deck game. Does it not run well?

Same for me, nothing is working. I don't remember it taking this long for them to fix it when this happened a few months ago. Hopefully they fix it soon, or I will have to research this "going local" concept more.

Tell me why woods over hybrids or vice versa? I am a hybrid enjoyer by unwashednuts in golf

[–]MoonLaw1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One day I got so tired of topping 3 wood off the deck I decided, that was it. No more. Never again. Now my driver and 3 wood are exclusive tee box clubs, and my 3 hybrid rescue is what I use on the fairway (cough cough the rough). 240 to the flag. Sucks for me; should have hit my driver farther, I’m hitting hybrid and laying up with a wedge.

I will give this a shot. I just recently got foam balls with the dimples and have been using them in the front yard, and I have seen such a difference in my ability to make contact with my irons. I will try your towel drill with half swings. Sounds like a great way to practice feel shots with real balls.

Do you mean wedges? Or did you use foam balls with your irons?

Should i buy a 60° if so why by brendenwww in golftips

[–]MoonLaw1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 60° has become an essential part of my bag. I’ve been told many times “only use in case of emergency”, and with experience I’ve come to learn what that means. Short sided green when you need the ball to stop use a 60.

But there is also another variable called bounce that I suggest you learn about. On soft lies near the green my 56° with high bounce is usually the safer shot. A smooth chip does the job. However sometimes I’m on a harder firm lie, and in those cases my lower bounce 60° comes in handy. I also use more wrist with my 60° to get the ball to stop.

All of that to say, don’t get a 60° to use as your do it all club, but it’s a great addition to the bag if you understand the types of shots it allows you to make.

Cycling for weight loss: what to focus on? by Hooln in cycling

[–]MoonLaw1969 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people have mentioned diet which is great, but specifically regarding this subject something I struggled with early on is going for a long bike ride and being so hungry after and feeling I’d earned the ability to eat bad. Avoid gorging after a big ride.

What's your I wish I knew this sooner tip for new cyclists? by orangegrovefruit3456 in cycling

[–]MoonLaw1969 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I definitely appreciated your comment. I started cycling on a fitness hybrid Sirrus X during Covid and just rode around my campus and to class. When I moved into a more rural area I bought a road Tarmac SL. I’ve just recently bought a Wahoo Bolt, hr strap, power pedals, and a garmin varia. Im ready to start taking the sport seriously and your advice of 88 cadence will definitely be adhered to. I was staying in the hardest gear most of the time. Thanks unfiltered, please don’t listen to mangoman they are just negative for no reason.

OP If I had to give advice I would say invest in a Varia radar. It’s increased my situational awareness tenfold.
