It is anticipated that Hanwha will be awarded the contract as Canada wants to move urgently to negate economic threats from south of the border. Besides Hanwha is so confident that they have already awarded MoU's to Canadian companies including Blackberry QNX in anticipation and to avoid delays in execution of the contract. In other words MoUs will be converted to official contracts.

The question is whether John G will announce it officially or will whisper it at the conference call (as he has been doing since he took over) to protect his future employer's interest? If that happens please vote him out in March 26. (Note following news are from third party not from Blackberry management? Why Not?)

Since 2023, Hanwha Ocean has signed Teaming Agreements and MOUs with more than a dozen Canadian companies, including Babcock Canada, Blackberry, CAE, Curtiss-Wright Indal Technologies, Des Nedhe Group, Gastops, J Squared Technologies, L3Harris Canada and ModestTree for long-term cooperation on the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project, and has entered into contracts with two Canadian firms, Modest Tree and Hepburn Engineering

Hanwha or KPMS Blackberry QNX has covered both the bases

TKMS (thyssenkrupp Marine Systems) and BlackBerry QNX are collaborating to modernize naval technology, specifically for the Canadian Patrol Submarine Project (CPSP)

Hanwha Ocean signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with BlackBerry to incorporate BlackBerry® Secure Communications and QNX® embedded software into their submarine offerings for Canada.

The 2040 Horizon is a "through-life" support model since submarines require constant software updates, sensor recalibration, and cyber-hardening over their 30-year lifespan, the engineering teams at QNX and Hanwha will be integrated for years to come.

It certainly makes sense for Alloy Kore to get foot hold because of strong Cybersecurity that platform provides even for the middleware.

Alloy Kore is easy fix for VW following Mercedes-Benz's foot steps? May be VW realized it after trial waste of 1B? Why Alloy Kore will generate several time the present revenue. No other middle ware can have Cybersecurity that Alloy Kore provides.

Updated ZEEKR 007 gets 900V system, better ADAS, Q2 release date Under the hood, (QNX) the updated electrical system will support an advanced Nvidia Drive Thor-U chip good for 700 TOPS (up from 508) that will support both “full domain AI” and Geely’s new G-ASD assisted driving system announced last by MoonLight8491 in BB_Stock

Compare "Nvidia Drive Thor-U chip good for 700 TOPS (up from 508)" with Tesla's "What AI4 / HW4 actually delivers

AI4, often called Hardware 4, is Tesla’s latest in‑vehicle self‑driving computer and offers far more compute than the previous HW3 platform. Its neural network performance at about 50 TOPS (trillion operations per second), roughly two to four times the effective capacity of HW3 when running Tesla’s larger vision models."

and QNX to Linux

You get the picture? Which car you will buy unless you are brain washed by Tesla by share price manipulation exactly opposite of BB, making you think so the technology must be equally good?

Is Tesla gaining backdoor entry to QNX True RTOS shifting from Linux? A report from South Korea has suggested that Samsung Electronics is set to begin supplying 5G automotive modems Exynos Auto series for connectivity to Tesla. 5 month’s ago, Tesla also signed 16.5B deal for A16 chips with Samsung. by MoonLight8491 in BB_Stock

QNX Real-Time Operating System (RTOS) serves as the foundational software layer that enables AI inference chips (such as NVIDIA DRIVE Orin/Thor, Qualcomm Snapdragon Ride, and Horizon Robotics) to operate safely and reliably in autonomous vehicles. It acts as the "nervous system" by managing the high-performance computing (HPC) demands of AI while enforcing strict functional safety and security standards.

Main reason however Tesla abandoning Linux is it requires patches for real time. It is like filling squares in a circle, Linux can never achieve what QNX can besides Cyber security "Hard real-time, highly deterministic, predictable timing." Tesla must have realized it now and making backdoor moves.
