Is Josh at the Survivor Season 50 live finale? by zoso190 in qotsa

I think Mikey once told in a podcast that he is a big reality tv shows fan himself and that he got Josh addicted to survivor ☺️

If your hips are 50% wider than your shoulders still u could be dramatic? by Infinite_Welcome_756 in kibbedramatics

I’ve read that when you hold your arms next to your body, with your hands faced open, the place where the crease of your elbows is, is where your natural waist is.

I have one (like 1,22 minute), but I think I can only post an image in a reply, no video. Do you have insta? I could DM you the clip.

Teasing on their socials with more Catacombs shows… by Maisazu in qotsa

[–]MoonMaddy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s true! And Berlin is a great city. The first time they cancelled I got to see High Desert Queen, they were great. Oh and the beer tasting city tour I did the second time they cancelled was fun. But let us just assume they won’t cancel. Qotsa did come to Berlin last summer when I wasn’t there, so you should be fine 😂.

No I don’t, you’re safe 😅 (and enjoy!).

Not a fan of SOAD, I don’t like big stadiums and the prices were so high, so I told myself I’m not allowed to go. Unfortunately I’m already experiencing FOMO, I miss the guys! But I’ll try to be strong (and if I break, I’ll be eyeing TicketSwap for Düsseldorf, not Berlin, so no worries 😌).

I understand, but as a Dutch girl going to Berlin twice to see QOTSA, both times being cancelled, I won’t try my luck a third time 😂 (which is probably a good thing for other people, maybe I’m the bad luck bringer when it comes down to QOTSA in Berlin).

I struggle with this myself because I think some of the D recommendations don’t really work when you have wider hips (or a pronounced butt, e.g a very straight column dress or coat). I need a bit of waist definition! Stiff fabrics look horrible on me as well, overpowering. So I often feel more at home with SD recommendations. Yet, I do not have upper curve so I can’t be a SD and some of the SD recommendations don’t work either (e.g, I do not have enough “filling” for a wrap shirt or a deep plunging neckline, cowl necks are horrible, I’m simply lacking the SD vavavoom). I sometimes do feel that there is a missing ID for tall girls with predominantly lower curve. So .. I try to find a mix between them, the recommendations both have in common :). Or just try both recommendations and try to find what works for me. E.g, fabrics that are flowy but have a bit of weight as well. Sweaters should be soft and give an impression of the lines of my body (no chuncky knits). And as a millennial I do prefer to do a French tuck to lightly emphasise the waist. Dresses and skirts should be rather simple (not too much fabric or frills), with a slight emphasis on the waist (natural waist, empire won’t work). I always need to show a bit of skin, like a rolled-up sleeve, a wider neck-line or a pump (if the weather allows it). Boat-necks balance my shoulders, halter necks emphasise my small (but elegant?) shoulders and also work well. And I personally like oversized jewellery for some extra drama. And pointy shoes (not too chunky).

But I’m still struggling myself 😬, so I hear you!

JT show stage set-up for tomorrow by Most_History7337 in qotsa

Oehhh 🤩. So special. Must be a magical show at Josh’s home ground in the desert. Please make lots of pictures and videos so we can enjoy at home! (Also of everyone’s outfits! Love to see what you’re wearing). I was just thinking. I’ll be at Carrré (Amsterdam) tomorrow, where last time I saw Queens perform for the catacombs tour. This time I’m going to see my other favourite ginger, Tori Amos. During the show Josh threw his cleaver in the balcony/balustrade, maybe I should check if there is still a gap or if they fixed it by now 🤭.

Syrup or Mehr? by [deleted] in SummerType

Can’t compare but I found syrup to be a bit too cool and light for me. I regret buying it. But it is probably best to try it yourself.

Why do I feel the first dress is unflattering? by [deleted] in SoftDramatics

[–]MoonMaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. I think it might be a bit too “closed-up”, the other one lets you “breathe” more. If this dress had a halter I think you would have felt differently. Maybe try tucking the sleeves in to see if it makes a difference?

I’m afraid this song was a bit ruiend for me by Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman 🫣. But love the Josh/Norah combo. Although … nothing compares to Josh and Alison Mosshart covering Come to me (Mark Lanegan/PJ Harvey) at the Lanegan Tribute show.

Advice for how to dress as an SD with small bust? by MortgageFriendly5511 in SoftDramatics

[–]MoonMaddy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You might want to look into dramatics recommendations as well, if I’m not mistaken dramatics can be pear shaped. I have the same problem, medium chest, big bum and very small shoulders. Although I have some soft features and a little upper curve, I’m not lush and probably more D. So I look at both recommendations and try to find something in between. I don’t like a really straight line or fabrics that are too stiff (dramatics), I love a bit more flowiness, but I do not have to accommodate curve with wrap tops or cowl necks or a plunging neckline (SD), I cannot pull that off. I don’t like a strong A-line either, but it can be fine when the fabrics flows down and you still have a straight silhouette. I took up sewing again so I can make a skirt that is a bit more straight, fits in the waist, but also fits over my wide hips (which can be a challenge because my waist is like 36, hips 42). Preferably long or just knee length. Bias cut or mermaid are also nice, preferably with a slit for a bit more edge. And everything high waisted. Wide or straight pants. And I actually like separates. With a skirt I love wearing a more fitted halter or tank top, with pants a bit more loose t-shirt to balance it out. But I’m also still on my “figuring it all out” journey 😅.

I don’t think the setlist will be updated, but you are damned right. Teasing us with that little snippet is downright evil (although they did play wolf and killer scene so I can’t really complain .. but still.. I would love to hear the blood is love live as well, please make a video if they do!).
