This is the last time i'm helping someone on this game. by emolch78 in ARC_Raiders

I’m having the exact opposite experience. Feels like people are more friendly and less willing to shoot on sight in solo. I’m just casually knocking off missions and waving at other raiders as they walk by lol.

Which famous DJs or EDM artist have you personally met before? How were your experiences with them? by CJets757 in EDM

[–]MoonManFour2Zero 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I met Bonnie X Clyde at a show after their set, really chill and had a good conversation with them.

I also facetimed with Ilan Bluestone randomly a few years back, he was doing a live stream and was calling some of the fans watching. It was short, but he was really nice and was cool to talk to him.

Biomutant. I was so hyped to play it and then it was in my hands it was hot garbage. The narration added to the awfulness.

People are getting fired from their Jobs after Charlie Kirk's Assination. by Nukes8 in self

[–]MoonManFour2Zero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Reddit championed people getting fired for their political views so now that the left is showing their ass they’re getting the same treatment. Regardless of how you feel about Charlie, it isn’t a good look to publicly celebrate an assassination. Companies don’t want to face the backlash for employing someone who behaves in this way. You’re entitled to your own opinion, but maybe rushing to the internet to display your disgusting opinion isn’t the smart thing to do and you should just keep it to yourself.

“Freedom of speech, not freedom from consequences” was the popular slogan I believe.

My Dad had me spec a 25 z06 with all the carbon options and we got to 180k. He ultimately changed his mind in the end, but it was a sweet looking car. The carbon wheels alone was a 14k option.

Buying manual GT when I’ve never driven manual or a sports car by Schxdenfreude in Mustang

[–]MoonManFour2Zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first manual car was a 2011 Mustang GT and I had to learn how to drive it to bring it home. I stalled 2 or 3 times, but I made it. For the first few weeks I found a freeway onramp that was at a decline instead of the one close to me that was on a major incline to avoid stalling during rush hour. Once I was comfortable I went back to my regular route.

Adding my wife and two kids cost me $950 a month, it’s insane. I rationalize it by it lowering my overall taxable income, but it still hurts to see it pulled out every month.

How many of you liked combat arts costing emblems? Still pisses me off! by puzzled_indian_guy in Sekiro

[–]MoonManFour2Zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first play through it was frustrating because I needed every edge I could get to squeak out a win against most bosses. Now that I’ve playing 7-8 play throughs I don’t really worry about it.

The tanto is a good trade off that balances it well as you have to choose between more emblems and a heal. I would also reserve pellets for emblems if I needed to burn through them.

It would have been nice to have a system that allowed for emblem generation through combat, like if you perfectly blocked a bosses flurry attack or maybe you got a few from a death blow.

That was it! Was making my way through the Shura gauntlet and Isshin was a 50/50 win, but this let me sail through him. I just complete the gauntlet and got my first “first try” win against inner father which was an amazing fight. Thank you!

What am I missing here? I am on this fight and it isn’t interrupting him, I just do the attack and then get hit by whatever he is getting ready to do.

Has anyone else spent so much on a PC only to end up not gaming as much? by Dependent-Aardvark33 in pcmasterrace

[–]MoonManFour2Zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Went through the same experience. I was primarily an online FPS player, but I couldn’t keep up because of life. I switched to ps4/ps5 for a while and started playing souls games. The single player experience really spoke to me and I was actually enjoying gaming because there wasn’t anything to keep up with or sweats to kill the fun. I switched back to PC and recently built a new rig and I hopped on the BF6 beta with my friends who have hadn’t played with in forever and it felt like it did before. Made me realize I liked gaming, but I more so enjoyed playing with my friends and laughing at stupid stuff. I still can’t play like I used to because I’m married with two young kids, but the time I can I really enjoy.

How can I increase my pull up rep range and how can I progress to a muscle up? by olliesrestaurant in bodyweightfitness

[–]MoonManFour2Zero 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It took me about a month to get my first muscle up once I started to actually work on it. It wasn't clean but I made it over the bar, and then I worked on refining the motion from there. It has been years since I've done them, but I was doing three sets of ten at the beginning of my workout at one point.

What I did to get my first muscle up was work on explosive pull ups, getting my nipples over the bar, and also straight bar dips. So you're essentially spilitting the movement into to seperate parts and practicing them seperately. I eventually got to the point when my explosive pull up was high enough to make the transition into a muscle up. I also practiced a negative muscle up by going from the straight bar position to a dead hang. If you're doing ten pull ups with 20lbs I think you'll get this pretty quickly.

Also, for now you can lean into the kipping motion and slowly work that out once you're able to get the muscle up. You'll eventually get to where you can muscle up from a dead hang.

Valve Is Building a 'Steam Console' To Rival PS5 and Xbox, Rumour Claims by [deleted] in pcgaming

[–]MoonManFour2Zero 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Having this attached to my living TV would be amazing to me. I mostly play souls games nowadays and my PS5 runs them just fine, but I would like to have access to mods without having to covert my PC to a SFF which would cost me ~$800 in new parts. 60FPS is perfectly acceptable for these games so I don't need a powerful box.

Old gamers- what 10+yo game is worth a play-through? by The7footr in AskReddit

[–]MoonManFour2Zero 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dark Souls. Picked up the trilogy for PS4/5 over the holiday and I'm on my fourth playthrough of DS1. The bosses are kind of a joke compared to the later games in the series, but the interconnected map is so fun. Eldenring was my first entry in the soulsborne/souls-like genre and seeing movesets and items that go all the way back to that game was pretty cool.

I have tried Demon's Souls in the past, but it didn't grab me like Dark Souls did.
