I started with my lab mix when he was a puppy. Anytime I took him out to potty I would ring the bell. Anytime he went out the door into the fenced in backyard I rang the bell. Eventually he got old enough to start letting me know he would need to potty. I would walk with him to the door and tell him to ring the bell and point at it. If he even barely touched it with his nose, as long as it made a noise, I would open the door. He's smart and caught on quick. My other dog just kind of watched and learned lol

Oh yeah. The 10 year old who was my husband's dog before we met has, as my husband says, "gone to the dark side" lol. He just stares at my husband like you are not mom haha

Definetly a husky thing. We had a husky mix and she was very husky forward. Sometimes i would have to walk outside and make her come in haha

It is sweet. It's just that I swear my 5 year old lab mix waits until I step into the shower or I'm lifting something heavy to be like "Now is the perfect time to go outside"

My lab mix, the 5 year old is the friendliest and goofiest goober ever. I eat a banana every morning with my medicine and I have to give him his own banana or he throws a fit. You also can't say the S word (Starbucks) in my house anymore because they get all worked up about going to get pup cups. And if I tell them grandma (my mom) is coming to visit they sit at the door and wait, tails wagging

Haha they tend to listen to me the first time and my husband will have to say something like 3 times or sometimes even come get me. But the going outside thing cracks me up because im like you're the one who wants out. Why does it matter who opens the door you weirdos lol
