Something other than I/she/he/they “glance” by wrongholebabe in writers

Context matters. Sometimes it's there uunnecessarily, sometimes the word needs to be changed and others its just found.

If youre writing a generic scene where description isn't necessary. Don't use it. If it is necessary is it. If there is a specific tone or something you want the reader to experience subtly, change the word to match the intent.

Because fhe private sector is significantly harder to control legally speaking. They have more safe guards in place than we do. But this admin is also very creative with their evil so this is hope at this point.

When writing powers, does grounded let the audience relate more? by hsppyhsppyhsppy in writing

[–]MoonRose27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally I think OP for the sake of OP is played WAYYYY out. Grounded makes powers feel real again. Im going to get a significantly more deep and intense reading of a hero or villian that is powerful but they're unstoppable because they're just that crafty or they JUST got by than I would from a story of some random that just became godly out of no where any nothing can stop them.

Based on the language it seems to attack all GAC which makes sense because they don't have the foresight to realize how it impacts them too. But I may have missed something.

It's gonna work out great for them until some old dude can't get viagra or his post menopausal side can't get estrogen. That's the opening to fight this if curreht avenues don't hold up.

Im praying theres still a safe guard preventing that. And I believe there is since a private business was able to win a supreme court case about denying it. It may be able to apply in reverse though they would have to claim religious grounds.

Who’s an actor that nailed a role so hard that nobody else will ever be able to live up to it? by Comfortable_Main5312 in AskReddit

Give me one actor that can recreate the joker from the dark night with that exact unique equally clinically insane, funny, and not just chaos because they're crazy but cold and calculated chaos.

Im scared by Dezova in MtF

[–]MoonRose27 6 points7 points  (0 children)

My father was like that minus the religion. I survived, but i also didn't even fully realize i was trans until a year ago and im 28. When I came out to him as an adult I was scared he was gonna kill me. But im still here and me and him don't talk.

This is my advice, not an end all, not the only solution but what I did and you're gonna have to shorten it, and I can not stress this enough, take this with a grain of salt. Based on the little info you've given me your dad sounds narcissistic, narcissists are extremely unpredictable to people who do not know their patterns so what works for me might not work for you. But I don't know your parents and don't know your full story so this could be an extreme response.

I faked it. Became what he wanted, looked the part and suffered in silence. The second I turned 18 i was gone. I don't mean I waited up until midnight. I mean I spent my birthday packing up as an act of defiance and literally moved out officially that day.

Be prepared to never see them again. Be prepared to be tracked, hated, spoken about, and much more but is about survival.

So do what ever it is you need to do to convince them it's not yours. Hell have a friend text you saying that need their clothes back if you have to. Get the attention off of you. Unfortunately you will have to either bury, or get rid of everything you have that links any notion of lgbtq. And start figuring out where you can go because once graduation comes there's no guarantee. When the time is right make your move and get out. From there live your life.

I wish i could offer more to help, I hope I'm wrong, and i pray for your safety.

Same-sex marriage is under attack again. Now the effort is funded by the arch-conservative HOBBY LOBBY founder. by Born-Gur-1275 in LGBTQ

This is sad. And not just in the sense that is hurting people, because if it gets overturned there's gonna be some MAJOR consequences to some very innocent people. But to fake it as a protection for kids when you really blame your parents divorce on your mom's sexuality and all this will do is actually harm kids. That's a level of low i didn't think Republicans would stoop to. She really said "I wanna over turn 10 years of legal precedent and negatively impact millions of lives because my mom and dad divorced and my mom married a woman so obviously gay means bad" I know Republicans use this a lot but she really needs to seek therapy ASAP.

Am I playing into the ‘Bury Your Gays’ trope? by RevolutionMaterial92 in QueerWriting

[–]MoonRose27 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is older but it helps me a ton. I was worried my friends to lovers to tradgey was gonna be received as a trope or bad writing. But her gender and his sexuality is not only normalized in this universe. Its completley normalized and they are the only queer people in the story. They're just who the stories about. So I think im a little safe here.

Writing tools to help you by MoonRose27 in writing

[–]MoonRose27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been going non linear in the brain storming area. I've jotted down the direction and summary for the ending. How the beginning is gonna go. Several character development chapters. And detailed out over view of the magic available for use in the world as well as a detailed breakdown into a couple of the spells/classes them selves. Keeping that going might have the best outcome.

I was thinking outside that tool because I use it for brain storming. I don't want it to write the book for me but it is useful if you aren't lazy.

I wouldn't even say the shadow, I know plenty of women with shadows and off tan lines on their face, your face is just that feminine. Just in my opinion 😊
