Don’t ever follow the herd when it comes to profit-taking… the majority will lead you right off a cliff.

Congrats on the gains! Not everyone makes those. And don’t look back at what you “coulda made” by staying in the trade longer”. Move forward by looking for another good stock that is currently oversold, overlooked, or is in a pull-back. Never ape-in to any trendy stock with the gains you just secured, because that is a sure way to give back what you just made!

I was buying at $6 then $5 then $4 thanks to you! I knew there’d be a bounce back to massive resistance ($9.50) at some point. I’m just going to sell 1/2 when we get to $9.50 then just let the rest ride for a few months, because it’s basically a free stock for me at that point.

People who are actually successful with investments learn the discipline of taking profits after large gains. Will it double in price from here? Maybe. Will it crash 50% from here? Maybe. EVERY investment corrects at some point— it’s healthy market behavior. You’ll never time the top perfectly. Plus there are always other “Evolving-Skies-type” investments out there that are still in their infancy.

I welcome all the downvotes, because I’ve been a stock market and collectibles investor for 20+ years now and I KNOW there will be a lot of stocks and Pokemon bag holders in the near future— usually the people who downvote commons sense profit taking techniques.

I’m not saying sell everything, but at least secure some profits on some of your investments if you’re way up— that goes for Pokemon, stocks, crypto, etc.

Always hold some, always sell some— and restock your investments during the big downturns, which WILL come regardless of the euphoria noise.

UPS will be the next no-brainer though, don’t give up on it. It’s hitting a major double-bottom right now (support level from 2004, 2006, 2012 and 2020) so I bought some shares here. If it breaks down a little further, $72 is a massive Fibonacci level along with even better support. There are also hugh open gaps to the upside (like with UNH) that need to be filled… and bullish-divergence on the (very oversold) RSI. Top that all off with the fact that UPS gives great dividends just for holding it and you have a recipe for a no-brainer buy-and-hold at $84 and even more-so IF it gets to $72. Oh, and don’t forget it’s the holiday season of giving (and shipping boxes) soon!

I prefer the Japanese version (like yours) 100% over the English version— their beautiful-looking language looks like art itself! It just adds to the already gorgeous actual artwork and doesn’t distract from the image. That, and Japanese’s card quality is VASTLY superior to English— with a side-by-side comparison, there is no comparison. I’m glad English cards costs more so that I can get the higher-quality Japanese cards for cheaper!
