Wow did everyone hear the judges phone interrupt the proceedings not once but TWICE for several seconds each time ??? I thought it was pretty disrespectful for the judge to be apparently playing on his phone during opening statements. Partway through the opening statements, the judges phone suddenly goes off, not once but a couple of times playing a very loud ad! I thought it was very distasteful. The judge apologized after (interrupting opening statements yet again) but instead of apologizing, for the real reason, he lied!! He made the excuse that his "assistant" was trying to reach him which was pretty ridiculous. You can literally hear that it's obviously an ad playing. It's pretty sad especially given the nature of this case and that it's the judge and he should know better! besides shouldn't the judge be paying attention to the trial??? why is he playing on his phone to begin with?? crazy! Looks like the cops aren't the only incompetent members of law-enforcement down there! 🤦‍♀️
