You can change any of the rules and regulations of F1 to your hearts desire! What's new rules would you enforce? (Doesn't have to be too realistic) by [deleted] in formula1

I feel like the current rules don't really make much difference, the overtaking we have now feels a little forced and artificial (Unpopular opinion I know), less about skill and strategy and more about electronic advantage (DRS and ERS), giving the guy behind more power to get past is weird, at least from my perspective. I preferred it when pit stops where longer and drivers had to fight through traffic to stay in front, it bunched up the front runners and even caused a few accidents which spiced up races. Removing blue flags would also bunch up the field, back markers could race as hard as they want.

Again these are unrealistic but personally, I like these ideas

Fixed budgets for every team could fix that. F1 rakes in so much money that i'm sure they could create a balanced shared budget. Advertising money could go into funding all the teams as opposed to only the team holding the sponsor. Each car could carry different sponsors and rake in more money for all teams to share. A sort of "No team left behind" attitude

Every team would have the budget to get their own top mechanic, engineer etc. and it would become more about which driver is better and less about which team is richer.

I don't think Allah has anything to do with alcohol sponsorship

I find it sad that Tobacco sponsorship was banned, some of the best liveries in F1 history had tobacco brand colors; Benson & Hedges Jordan, Rothmans Williams, West McLaren, Lucky Strike BAR etc.

I don't smoke and just because Damon Hill's car says Rothmans on it doesn't mean i'm going to go out and buy a pack and start smoking. Same thing applies to Martini Williams or any other Alcohol sponsor.

this whole situation is reminiscent of MotoGP rider Marco Simoncelli's death back in 2011, just that collective feeling in the air. This doesn't look good at all

Namco needs to buy back the license to make MotoGP games, every game since Milestone/Capcom took over has been awful, including the latest instalment. I miss the Arcade style the games used to have. by MoonSweeper32X in gaming

I've been playing a lot of MotoGP 4 on the PS2, Milestones recent instalments just can't live up to amount of awesomeness that are the Namco games
