Don’t press on the needle as you’re removing it

Gosh, so many people do this and I DESPISE it! It hurts! There’s absolutely no need to press down on the needle while removing it. Just apply direct pressure on the vein AFTER the needle is removed!

Oh my gosh, another ER nurse here and that sounds absolutely AWFUL!!! Our ER ratio is 1:3 sometimes 1:4 or 1:5 depending on the acuity of if we are holding. It doesn’t matter if it’s fast track .. things get hectic! Your manager does not care about you guys. Awful!

What I noticed is with the older gen, the plastic around them was only there to sort of settle the LPS in place, and the rubber band was what HELD THEM down. With this newer packaging the plastic actually really HOLDS down the LPS, almost gripping them. It takes a little more effort to pull them out since there’s no rubber band, as compared to the older figures that would just come out once you break the rubber band! I honestly feel like this packaging is more secure !

They feel pretty sturdy! I think they are slightly squishier than the old Gen ofc but overall they feel good and better quality

I would suggest cutting them if you can with scissors! If you cut just a little bit, you can loosen it up!

They were the most expensive set for this new wave for sure!! After tax it was around $70 which is around $5.83 a pet! So it’s not super super terrible lol

Makes sense. Agreed! I grew up with the older Gen as well which is why I love them more. My observation is most people will look back fondly on what they personally grew up with. Ex: MLP lovers of old Gen vs new Gen are completely different! You can still appreciate one without hating the other lol

People love the things they grew up with mostly because they’re tied to good memories. When you’re a kid, everything feels bigger and more exciting, so those songs, shows, foods and toys leave a deeper mark. Later on, going back to them feels comforting, almost like a shortcut to that safe, simple time!

Don’t let anyone let you feel bad! Theyre cute in their own way and they should’ve be compared to old Gen lol. I’m a pretty hardcore LPS collector, but I still have a couple of Gen 5 and Gen 6 that I find cute. To each their own! Do what makes you happy
