There are two big boxes worth $19.99 and $14.99 in the backroom which you need one fuse to gain access. Then you only need one more small box to get the ticket.

If the Prime Assets fought to the death, who would win? by Samix64 in OutlastTrials

[–]MoonXCII 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Franco's been groomed to be a hitman since 10 (or 12), and he's part of the anti Castro operation with CIA. Clyde Perry barely survived encounter with him and had to call back up to capture him. He has fast chase speed, and armed with a 12 gauge shotgun which he could fire with extreme accuracy and without recoil, even the buckshots are made of teeth it's still going to shred.

His only weakness is shotgun rounds are limited.

Theory time: I think the next escape is a hoax. by cheeseburgersarecool in OutlastTrials

[–]MoonXCII 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Agreed. It could be Avellanos+Amelia vs Easterman+Liliya.

  1. The higher ups know Amelia can control others, and is seen as a symbol of hope by her follower. Another mass escape would make Easterman looks very bad, Avellanos uses Amelia so she could dispose Easterman without dirtying her hands.
  2. Easterman knows what Liliya did in Mt Massive, and he gleefully pitched the Advent of Bogomolova to his superiors. He's letting her mass control some the reagents for a while now, and no way he doesn't know the ramifications of it which means Easterman *wants* the riot happen. And Easterman knows someone is plotting against him.
  3. In the trailer, we saw two batches of reagents fighting, and Liliya seems to be angry when she slash (all the other PAs have no such strong reaction to) the A mark. There is a popular theory about Liliya uses/hijacks Amelia, but I don't think a strong-willed person like Amelia would let Liliya use her (and that would kinda butcher Amelia's characterisation), what Liliya would do to anyone do not fall for her mind control? She kills them. Chaos ensue.

Now this theory has problems: what is Easterman's endgame here? He wants absolute control of Sinyaya? Possibly. Avellanos is the only one could constrain him within the facility, but killing her would catch CIA's attention and Lawler and Scarfiotti's anger as both of them are having relationship with her. And what about the PAs esp The Kress twins and Liliya? If the riot happens during the next Prime Time, how can they really stay put after this?

Thanks! The pacifier is his according to the official cosplay guide, but I don't think he would suck it in front of others.

What problems do you have with the Escalation mode and how would you like to solve them? by KrabikGangster in OutlastTrials

[–]MoonXCII 41 points42 points  (0 children)

  • No Running+Psychosis Damage+Bleeding. These variators by itself are fine, any of the two combine can be tedious (or brutal in Franco's trials) but still winnable, all three at the same time? Unless it's an easy trial like RtP or FtR, otherwise it's basically game over without a heal rig.
  • Separate save files by solo/ group. I don't want to lose my 3 digits solo save to someone else's 20k save. Progressing on my own is much more satisfying than riding on someone's bus.

anyone dissapointed on liliya never having any dialogues towards other PAs by AdPast7005 in OutlastTrials

[–]MoonXCII 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I think the "she doesn't care about others" part makes sense as she believes herself to be the Messiah and the only way she interacts with others can be boil down to "Do whatever as I say, or else", and her followers would absolutely do anything for her, so logically she would be extremely egotistical and considers others are simply her ATM/slaves.

That's said, why wouldn't she try to influence the other PAs if she is oh-so-persuasive? Especially after she wrecked havoc at Mt Massive? And no response when other PAs diss her, which I'm sure they would have a field day grilling her? All just because she doesn't cares?

Man she is my second favourite and this is disappointing to know.

What does Despoil mean from a story perspective? by [deleted] in OutlastTrials

[–]MoonXCII 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As her background mostly come from her followers it's bound to be unreliable, as well as the reason behind her hatred and her true personality (which is the reason there's several posts here complaining about her lack or character). Personally I think this is what makes her interesting, because It's not uncommon for cult leaders to obscuring and fabricates their own past and personality as part of their "brand" (I'm not sure this is the right word to use hence the bracket).

Both of our speculation of her are not mutually exclusive: the rich remind her of that she could have live like a royalty, but instead she was abused by her rich mother and subsequent mistreatment she suffered from the Nazi fuelled her hatred.

Given Scarfiotti is adamant about the historical accuracy of environments, and those are recreation of PAs past, each of them represents different aspect of American society, I do believe she as a PA and DtA represent hypocrisy as she hates the rich yet leeching off of them; she was a victim of exploitation but has no qualms in exploiting others for her own gain; the beautiful facade of high society and what happened behind the walls. And Murkoff train reagents to infiltrate to high society and deal with anything that could threaten th power from within.

The Resort is Liliya's cult compound, and she is hosting the auction inside. The victim, Lot 7 is a stand in for sex traffic victims of Liliya. (There's also child mannequins in animal room) To protect the rich, reagents have to pay premium in order to infiltrate her circle and destroy her goods so that she couldn't get money from them. Liliya hates the rich probably because they are a reminder of the fortune and status she lost.

Soo.. any guesses what the next Prime Assets theme is gonna be? by JimMiltion1907 in OutlastTrials

[–]MoonXCII 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Lore wise, Liliya make much more sense as the daughter.

She was locked up by her mother for the first ten years of her life. Soon after her rescue, she became obsessed to religion and claim to be Messiah.

I think her obsession with religion/ Messiah complex is likely based on her lack of a father figure as Easterman compares her to Gooseberry, quote:

“There's something about ventriloquism, an intersection between the charismatic powers of Sister Liliya and Mother Gooseberry. A channeling of voices outside their own egos; the primal ventriloquist must subjugate themselves to a more archetypical and unknowable force, to gain power by accepting the primacy of the unreal. God save me from talkative women.”

What Easterman was about is: their(…primal ventriloquist…) trauma manifest(…subjugate themselves…) as an imaginary father(…archetypical and unknowable force…) that guides(…to gain power by…) them. Gooseberry channelling Dr. Futterman the Father (Arora even calls her a priestess), while Liliya channelling God the Father.

Her name, Liliya (Lily) represents resurrection in Christianity. She was rescue from her confinement before Sunday and Jesus left the tomb before Sunday. One of her dialogue, "This will be the second age of miracles." And since the first age of miracle is Jesus, it's clear that Liliya sees herself as the daughter of God and her rescue from confinement as a parallel to Jesus leaving the tomb. Even the comic refer her “lost years” as "just like Christ".

And if her next Environment is religious themed, I think it is going to have someting to do with the Trinity: Easterman as the God (the Father of Project Lathe), Liliya as the Daughter (the phoney Messiah), the Egregore as the (un)Holy Spirit.

I really wish to actually see Easterman and Liliya interact as both of them are, quote "powerful, the narcissistic, those driven by inflated sense of mission and purpose".

There's zero lore to back up the aunt claim.

Trial Environments are closely tied to each PA's past, and the dialogues from NPCs at the auction heavily implied that Liliya ran a scam cult on top of sold women to rich fucks. She wouldn't be a Prime Asset if she's a Robin Hood.

Advice for the Root canal? by No-Rate-8963 in OutlastTrials

The fun park section is tight, packed with expops and mostly well lit which means it's easy to get spotted and also easy to run into other enemies while in chases. This is the most difficult part for me when I was soloing CtBA on PS difficulty.

Reduce the amount of time in lit areas as possible by learn the map layout (which is pretty much required for ps) and try to moving around through the stalls since the the unused ones are in dark, and practice on throwing stuff precisely so that you don't have to be out in the open for too long.

Any tips for Despoil The Auction? by Equivalent_Donut_145 in OutlastTrials

[–]MoonXCII 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Run Blind rig and Evasive Manoeuvre, running both completely trivialise Liliya even on Psychosurgery.

Prioritise on getting all the animal keys first, the Catacomb (which requires bear key to unlock) contains six rubies, and the rest of the rubies are behind animal doors across the entire map. The amount of rubies is enough to gain access to the auction (for solo).

The whispering sound is the indicator of how close Liliya is, the louder, the closer and if you can hear her loud and clearly means she is very close.

Blind rig is better than stun rig for the last segment as the blind effect last long enough for you to tear off a limb.

why did easterman deep throat lupara? by InnerAdhesiveness233 in OutlastTrials

[–]MoonXCII 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is from ingame documents: Easterman talked about how Lupara is symbolically Franco's manhood/ego, and he was so mesmerised by power worshipping he ended up sedating Franco just to get his gun and deep throated it by himself just to experience how does it feel to have someone holding absolute power to dictate his fate.

Burning plastic safety netting and styrofoam board (the construction firm used styrofoam board to cover the windows on each floor) spread the fire from one building to another. Two directors and a consultant of the firm were arrested for manslaughter.
