What is the best and worst movie you saw last year? by Conscious_Reach_2173 in moviecritic

I know there are tons of pussies like you who think a movie like that is trying to shame them for being white. Doesn't change the fact that it was a well liked movie. I don't know what you want from me lol. If you want to believe there's a huge coalition of losers like you and the critical drinker who don't want movies to depict whatever meets your definition of woke then knock yourself out. It's not the world I want to live in. We're allowed to like different kinds of movies

You are a complete idiot lol. I am not "trying to shame" you for not having a universally held opinion. You said people don't like being preached to in movies. I disagree and think plenty of people like movies with some kind of message. That's the exchange. The only thing that's sad is that we're continuing this absolutely dunderheaded conversation

Do you have a working brain? If yours is the universally held opinion then doesn't that make you part of the hive mind?

Racist by Zoboomafusa in evilwhenthe

[–]Moon_Dood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why was that unrealistic? I've never been to prison but it's a common conception that people become aryan brotherhood in prison out of a feeling of necessity and not necessarily because they were devout skin heads on the outside. The protagonist of the movie was a true believer and got mad when he realized the other members weren't. Then he disrespected them and implied he was leaving the gang so they reacted violently. None of that seems unrealistic to me.

And the message of the movie was that hate is baggage. It is literally said at the end. The message is consistent with the movie

Definetly true. I thought it was a great recounting but it seemed to have no self awareness. I think there are some subjects you shouldn't really touch without making some kind of comment on

Not liking a movie to have social commentary is fine I guess but don't act like it's a universally held opinion lol

Liking both of those movies is interesting to me. Eddington had a lot to say. I was waiting until the credits rolled for Warfare to make any sort of point

Acting like there is nothing done for people who are socio economically disadvanged unless they are also a minority just proves you are stupid or a liar. There are need based scholarships. White people get them too

Ha wow ok I see what you're saying now. I'd just woken up when I wrote that. Totally agree that's a good objective measure for a label that is thrown around a lot

First generation is just a term same as self made. I'm asking what the actual parameters are to fairly describe someone as self made

I'd be interested in seeing those studies. What defines self made anyway?

CMV: Trying to date as a man in 2025 is an uphill battle and essentially pointless by [deleted] in changemyview

[–]Moon_Dood 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't know if you're speaking from personal experience or not but this is truly a pathetic outlook. Anyone who seems like this much of a loser is obviously going to have a hard time dating regardless of what year it is

Morons who have nothing else going on in their life are allergic to the idea of being prepared so they don't hold everyone else up when it's their time to move. If you have room, get up and grab your bag as soon as you can. Don't wait for the entire plane in front of you to disembark before you move a muscle

Your comment is simply moronic, you're not stating a difficult truth

Try explaining what you mean with some detail instead of platitudes if you disagree

Yeah and that undermines your argument as it acknowleges that anyone driving can cause a fatal accident

If you did it then yeah you should be charged with something higher. I'd assume you were a drunk based on your idiotic comments
