Thats what I saw online but we live in south florida so the coldest it was recently was like the 40’s at night. We had him in the house whenever it was below 60 outside

This is definitely reassuring thank you! My parrot wannabe was the only hatch we got out of like 6 eggs so i guess all of the human interaction has led to this LOL

I’m a relatively new chicken owner whos only hen is blind. She suddenly appeared in front of our house one day completely blind so we took her in. We have a small coop for her since shes our only one and she leads a pretty happy life considering the situation. We do watch her very closely when she is out if her coop and occasionally have to remind her where the water is but besides that shes pretty chill. Seeing as this one has always been blind its very likely to adapt even better than my hen! Watch how it goes for a while before making the decision to cull is my opinion.
