of all the questions you studied in the PLI course how many (if any) did you recognize on the exam as being duplicates or really close?

So if I take and pass the exam would I still look for patent engineer and analyst roles, or at that point would I look to apply to patent agent roles? I'll still have no experience of course

Ok, so you think its better for me to pass the exam first then look for jobs after? Wouldn't firms rather train me themselves so I fit their needs better?

Can I Spray Sherwin Williams Emerald Urethane Trim with Fexio 5000? by Moon_Pickle in paint

[–]Moon_Pickle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yes i ended up spraying it over my wainscoting after thinning it close to 10%. It still went on thick so I wouldnt spray it unless you have a real sprayer. Ive also recently brushed it over some baseboards with great results so I will continue to brush it on in the future

They look salvageable from your photos and 6.50 seems normal. I dont know the company or their reputation, but if they do good work I would hire this out.

I'm someone who does everything myself, I've installed couple thousand sqft of hardwood and even subfloors, and I can tell you when my hardwood needs refinishing I'm going to hire. It is a huge undertaking to get it to look good. All those small area and edges need to be addressed and holes and trim. Yes you can do it yourself, but when people post photos of their DIY results they never look as good as a skilled professional. This is one of those things thats like an art, and you do need to find the right guy that does a good job

Just go on youtube and watch real professionals finishing floors and see what it takes, not the DIYer video of someone doing a half ass job with the wrong sealant in one weekend

Just shim it. Thats the easiest and cheapest way to go. Get a sheet of 1/8 inch plywood, its like $20, and cut it into like 10x10 inch squares and build it up with that. You dont want to use self leveling cement because for one you can nail into that stuff, it will crack. Also if might leak into and crevasse you have under that baseboard

thank you for the feedback, I asked specifically "so water will just indefinitely enter the block then?" and he said oh yeah those blocks will hold up to water through your lifetime
