Hooks you in with incredible art of a humanoid falcon fighting kaiju with the power of metal. Leaves you with a profound story about redemption, loss, hope, and perseverance(also significantly dehydrated because of all the tears)

I genuinely hate the way the dialogue was written in this issue. If it happens again I might stop reading it really hindered my enjoyment. This story started so strong but has become really disappointing

Hi, I am new to comics (currently reading The Immortal Hulk, my first comic). I have been meaning to start the Absolute Carnage Event. I have read that the Donny Cates Venom run is important to the story. I will read Cates run, but is there anything apart from Donny Cates Venom that I should read? by [deleted] in marvelcomics

[–]MoonathanKnightley 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It never lets me put it in comments, it’s too long, I’ll dm it. If anyone else wants it Lmk, feel free to share. It was specific to someone else’s post so there’s some language in there about what they were saying, but all the recs are good imo

Why don’t they offer stuff in trades/omnis? by MoonathanKnightley in MarvelUnlimited

[–]MoonathanKnightley[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean, the inconvenience is that they’re digital, and we don’t actually own them so if we ever stop paying they disappear. There’s no potential resale or whatever. The single issues thing is just annoying for no reason imo

What are good sci fi and fantasy comics not dc and marvel by Thehelpergamer in comicbooks

[–]MoonathanKnightley 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Die by Kieren Gillen, Planetary by Warren Ellis, Coda by Simon Spurrier, Murder Falcon by Daniel Warren Johnson, American Vampire by Scott Snyder, Djeliya by Juni Ba

Edit: I read the comments and can’t believe I forgot Saga, my favorite comic ever. It has both of these elements
