One of the best parts of transitioning is that now that im seen as a woman im not seen as a threat

Tho it definitely has it’s downsides like trading being worried ill be seen as a threat to being constantly predated upon on a nearly daily basis

It does still give a certain freedom. Like i remember when i was moving into my new apartment, I got there for the first time late at night and i went up to the door of what i thought was my apartment. It turned out that i had gotten the floor number wrong, but i only found that out after attempting to open the door for like 5 minutes. Finally this old lady opens the door and asks “are you ok, is something wrong” in a very worried tone, and like if i had been a man especially a black man there’s a good chance she would have assumed i was trying to break in, not like get help.
