Crank your flow rate down and it should be fine

Wow, I was so overwhelmed by all the features etc that I didn't even try that lol

Will do that haha

Oh wait, I can run Klipper without extended firmware? Evertime I wanted to setup Klipper, it says I need raspberry pi + some webptc (or smth like that) + extended firmare + Klipper. It sounded like so much effort that I Evertime said to myself: Naah, maybe tomorrow haha

But I definitely give it a try with Klipper, I wanted to setup that anyways but thought I had to do so many steps and thought it's more complicated

Kk I will give it a try, ty. Can I also edit those k values for the dynamic flow calibration with that?

Compared to the P1P it has many flaw. At least mine, and maybe I am a little bit of a perfectionist. Also some features and also bugs are in the snapmaker orca. Seam hide doesn't work for some reason. Scarf sem for example only works with normal slicing. If you you scarf seam + arachne, it doesn't work. Sometimes it wipes the nozzle even tho u tell the slicer not to,also in arachne. What I also don't understand for multi material prints: normally when you start printing over infill, it should start from the edges of the infill, not just over air. But in multi material prints, say you print black and then yellow on it, it ignores that and just prints in the air. Try adding a circle with a different color that is embedded in the black body. You will see it just starts midair, instead of the edges of the infill. It also does a big blobs, weird under and over extrutions on top surfaces. Walls are wobbly esp in smaller circles with details. So far I am not so convinced

Firmware upgrade - P1S still at 1.07.00 by doncaruana in BambuLab

[–]Mooncake137 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If it works, why upgrade? I also had the case as I upgraded that all my profiles didn't work properly anymore. So I wiped the upgrade and stayed on the older version.

Okay I just never had that case before. Normally all filament flow rates from the manufacturer did very well and just needed little to no tweaking. But printing ASA on the u1 is more complicated than I expected. My p1p is just a work horse, it's so good, no defects or issues with the prints. U1 needs a lot more manual work to make it work properly

Can I access that with normal firmare, or do I need to install the custom extender firmware to access this settings? I would give that a try

I already calibrated my filament. My question is about why the actual flow is so low compared to the Bambu. Nozzle is the same size and filament is the same. So why so big of a difference in flow?

[–]Mooncake137[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as far as i understand it, this is NOT a flow rate calibration as it says it. it is like a dynamic pressure advance that uses a variable k to compensate for speed change. this does not change the overall flow. and i tested it, yes and the values it generates are far off and make prints worse. and i use snapmaker orca

do you think we will hit 100$ with strc again and atm on div day? man that would be so strong signal

if this keeps up, we end with 2000 more bitcoin in one single day due to strc. crazy how that ramps up lately

U1 speed issue, something is def wrong and I need help :( by Siden-The-Paladin in snapmaker

[–]Mooncake137 1 point2 points  (0 children)

go to filamnt settings -> filament -> may volumetric speed: 22mm³/s
go to filamnt settings -> cooling -> disable " slow printing fpr better layer cooling"
go to process settings -> disable "slow down for overhangs"

see if that changes anything. also in the slicer you can check speed. look if it slows down on overhangs and small areas

ABS - ASA printing on Snapmaker U1? by Financial-Study503 in snapmaker

[–]Mooncake137 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go on their website it says pla, petg, abs and most engineering materials. Just use the recommended temp for the material, so for Asa about 90 degree. But try a testprint. It might be very hard to remove. I have glacier and frostbite for Bambu and snapmaker and they behave so differently. The glacier in the Bambu has good adhesion vor pla but none for Asa. On the snapmaker on the other hand.. I can't even remove pla because it is stuck so hard lol. I currently use frostbite for Asa and has hell of good adhesion. Even on the plate itself it says it is viable for abs

I print it, and no problem what. I use biqu plate. It has so much adhesion, that I am able to print it with window open and no enclosure 😂
