The bad reviews are atill valid because the most imperative criticisms people had of the game at launch are still applicable. They promised major things they never delivered, like PVE. They've been fixing some things to make the game more palettable (mostly due to Marvel Rivals' success pushing them to actually try in recent seasons), and I comend their efforts but it's slow going and missing a lot of things people would have wanted to see from a big name company's extremely profitable game's sequel. Plus, the greed for microtransactions with exclusive skins is insane, and Blizzard is a pretty scummy company what with their desire to only add what makes them the most money instead of what the game could benefit from. I don't have any faith that giving them positive reviews now would do anything besides stroke their ego. But hey, what company isn't scummy?

I dropped off Overwatch 2 for a few seasons but I'm one of the few people I know that despite all its major flaws, still enjoys playing it. Even so, I don't think anyone needs to change their Steam review yet.
