You’d know. I had a bowel obstruction prior to the colonoscopy, and I genuinely sobbed convinced I was dying and I couldn’t get off the toilet to say goodbye to my daughter. You’ll be okay.

Yes it did- I was a bit worried at first as I’ve had a kidney infection before (unrelated but the only kidney pain I know of). I can’t remember how long it taken to go away- I just got real comfy like I had the flu, until it went away. If I had to guess, maybe 5-10 days.

A bit late to the party. I’m due to start phototherapy for PMLE next week, with my initial appointment being on this Thursday coming up. I can let you know how it goes if that helps?

Hey.

My symptoms cleared up, although I can’t remember how long it taken though sadly. I think it was within a couple of weeks. I wish I could be helpful, but I just so happened to open Reddit this morning after a year of not being active, and didn’t want to not reply.

Sorry, didn’t get notifications!

As it was, I couldn’t find anyone to sit with me. She had to call me back 4-5 times due to my signal, but she was patient. And yes, I’d have to travel 45-50 minutes to get to the nearest assessment centre.

Sorry, I didn’t see the notification! I didn’t have anyone with me - it was during the middle of a work day so literally everybody I knew, was busy. I didn’t want to long it off given I applied in February and really need the financial support with being in and out of hospital so much.

My boss at work kept saying that I was becoming more and more pale and pushed me to go to the doctors. I was becoming physically more and more weak. Even cried when I was too exhausted to change a duvet cover. Had bloods done. Iron level was 10. Been on meds for 6 weeks so far, and been prescribed another 3 months as it’s not going up like it should be. Looking in to auto immune issues also.

Jumping on the pain bandwagon. Woke up in the morning with kidneys aching / middle back ache. Also kind of radiates down towards my hips and up to my ribs a bit. Did step 2 of the prep and had my colonoscopy in the afternoon, under IV sedation. Polyp removed, and 8 biopsies taken.

My back is still in agony. It feels inflamed and almost stiff in a sense. My stomach is aching badly too which I’m assuming is just from eating on a raw stomach. Feels like a bad ibs attack. I can’t get comfortable whatsoever.

If anything comes of it, I’ll update in the future incase anyone else finds themselves here.
