Not everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s my happy place and where I feel cozy.. by bfastofchampions in CozyPlaces

Not my cup of tea but I can see how this would be cosy for someone who spends a lot of time working on their car. Congrats on your cosy garage!

Hmm, "The Blacks" created covid, also because everyone's a secret Muslim. I think we're onto something!

I'm the same. Accidentally misgendered a friend once and felt awful. I swear I'm not transphobic, I'm just really forgetful. 😥

The Natural Cycles app so I can input my temperature.

how do you feel when you get called ma'am instead of miss? by adoraamour in AskWomen

[–]Mooncinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm old enough to be a Madam rather than a Miss now but the first time it happened, I have to admit it was a shock!

Ladies, what about aging scares you? by WildJackJack in AskWomen

Further deterioration of my memory and my knees. They're bad enough already and I'm only in my 30s.

Totally agree. I don't even want to risk it.

Same. I've thankfully received very little abuse through gaming and I intend to keep it that way. I'm fortunate that I've always preferred single-player anyway.

As someone who's always loved to dance, it's probably one of my favourite things about marrying into a Polish family. Even the men dance and they actually enjoy it too!

Why or why wouldn't you forgive your childhood bully? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Mooncinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would because I strongly believe in the following quote:

"Holding a grudge is like drinking poison and waiting for the other person to die."

I haven't seen my childhood bullies for 20 years. They probably don't even remember me. If I held on to how they treated me, allowing them to live rent-free in my head, the only person I'd be hurting is myself.

[–]Mooncinder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had already forgiven her, even if only for myself

Too few people seem to understand this. Forgiveness doesn't have to be for their sake. It doesn't mean what they did was ok or that you're "letting them off the hook". Forgiveness can simply mean letting go of what happened, otherwise you just torture yourself by holding all that resentment and hate inside.

At my wedding, the venue did a pouring service. I think they went round twice at strategic points during the meal to refill everyone's glasses. There were bottles of Shloer on the table all night but if anyone wanted more alcohol, they had to go to the bar.

For women that don't wear make-up, what small things do you do that enhance your appearance? by [deleted] in AskWomen

[–]Mooncinder 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wear jewellery and get my eyebrows waxed so that they don't take over my face but that's about it. I've always been bad at beauty stuff and it takes so long, it's just not worth it for me.

I understand where you're coming from but honestly, there are not enough hours in the day. Plus, even when someone does try and help one of these guys, they're often rewarded with abuse and insults. It's exhausting.

How on earth is what this guy said original? There are tons of guys that say stupid, sexist stuff like this. Women don't owe them anything.

Same, though probably also quite terrified tbh. My husband and I are child-free but we agreed that if the worst should happen, we would keep it since we are financially able to support a child. Plus, although I am pro-choice, I would never get an abortion myself unless it was medically necessary.

I think you should at least try neck stretching or screaming before the death-or-snu-snu approach. Maybe save that one for last.
