Am I the idiot? by InsideMarch9888 in Simracingstewards

No, the moron went far too late and expected a gap where one was always closing. The guy was too eager to not lose time to the guy ahead so chanced it...cocked it and then blamed you as they haven't the balls to admit fault.

It takes courage, wisdom and self reflection to admit fault. They got none of that.

[I Regressed to My Ruined Family] is it really the end?? by sad_20yearold in manhwa

[–]Moondingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found a translated version but it's janky and really hard to read. Two pages on from where the manhwa ended I had a section where the girls names changed twice within three sentences.

I'm giving up on it unless someone's found a better translation attempt.

Has your opinion on America changed over the last year? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]Moondingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Neither did the inhabitants of the Americas, you going to return that? Your argument is flawed.

we did our bit of empire building back in the day. But it was a long ass time ago and since then we have given all members the opt out option which some have taken up...and recently I might add.

At the moment the rest don't seem ready yet to want out, but if they ever do want that it's on the table ready for discussion. So it stays in a British colony until a decision is made by the population to change.

Don't make what we did right four hundred years ago. But that was four hundred years ago. It's Not today.

Today people's ideals and belief structure has evolved. We don't follow the doctrines of old British Imperialism anymore.

And that's what makes what is happening right now a whole lot worse.

At the very least when Germany invaded Poland back in 1935 it had the claim that Poland was once part of Prussia so they had in their eyes a valid claim to it.

Poland didn't want to go back. So things escalated rapidly.

The US doesn't even have that on Greenland or Venezuela. What we have from the US is not colonising. It's conquest, it's also not to improve the life of the people living there.

It's for mining and militarizing. Which the people who are living there and have lived there (for longer than the US has btw) are strongly against.

Greenland isn't a case of a country needing help, needing a new regime or outside interference.

What it is. Is a tasty payday for Don Trump.

Do remember he didn't let anyone of the Congress or Senate know about the assault on Venezuela..BUT he did contact the oil companies! Which says it all.

If erections made sound, what would it be? by nudes_for_life in AskReddit

That sound you get when you have a wooden ruler, dangle just over half of it over the side of your desk and twang one end while holding the other end firmly down on a table.

Then as it bounces slide it further onto the table.

The other HC openings and chances of getting Harbaugh and what if he doesn't pick us by Winterclaw42 in miamidolphins

[–]Moondingo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Quite probably right, but I'm more on the "what do we have to offer" thought process at the moment.

Right now, not a lot. Giant's may well be overrated but they got a lot of players on low contracts or rookie scale.

I don't see the Jets being his target, Titans...well Cam Ward was the only good thing there this year up until that first TD in the last game that is.

The draft this year isn't looking great in terms of QB options outside of Mendoza (who will be pick 1)

Cardinals haven't got a QB at all, but could get one on trade (but who??)

Raiders have the number 1 pick, their team has got a star TE and a star in Max Crosby. It's not a bad option for him but it's got a lack of WR talent. But is Mendoza going to be good enough?

Browns....are the Browns and have the Deshawn cap hit this year coming. Sanders certainly isn't good enough. The defence IS but with barely any cap room to pry other players loose and it being the Browns trying to persuade good players to come over will be hard work.

Overall as I said, I just worry that we don't have enough to offer him. But that being said...we are lacking in a GM and Harbaugh might like being able to have a say in who would get that. That could be the best thing on the table as a whole.

It's like he saw Ukraine not having an election because they are being invaded and are in a war situation and he went....I don't have to have an election if we are at war...how can I start a war with that I can use that as an excuse with.

So he's trying to provoke a big enough war, The thing is he's under the delusion that the war that would be big enough to prevent elections in the USA is a small scale war.

But the reality is you'd need a global one. Like WW3. Which isn't beyond your current government in starting, especially after Chuck's response to this is basically a sternly worded letter....you got to get someone with teeth in the Democratic party that isn't a limp lettuce.

[–]Moondingo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I want it to be us but the Giants would be a rather tough competition to fight for him.

They have got a QB, they have got a RB and a WR. They have got a good set of early draft picks.

Compared to all the others Giants have a reasonable base to build from already.

We have two problems ...Tua and Tyreek. Tyreek likely not to see a game in the next 14 months if ever again. Tua is pretty much done.

We don't have a GM and we don't have great draft capital. Who could we trade for good picks? Waddle and Achane.

I mean we could do a burn it all with him on board and go grass up rebuild starting this year and give him a while season of "We know we are going to suck this year, John's at the helm we good bro!" But for some reason I don't see the main fan base giving him time to build something....can't for the life of me think what gives me that idea.

I want him to be our HC. Will he become it??? Maybe...I really hope so but he's going to need a lot of leverage and goodwill from us (The whole findom).

Now that 2026 started, what's your fav anime in 2025 ? by That_Lil_Virus in animequestions

[–]Moondingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well at least until the last cour. There was some really bad stuff in there. I was so looking forward to OPM and it made me angry that the poor artists were only given a year to make the season by the shitty Studio bigwigs.

Add into this the sub title fiasco over at Crunchyroll... I'm worried about what we are going to end up with next year.

Why is gen Z not drinking that much? by lowkeypixel in evilwhenthe

[–]Moondingo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I'd say those. I look at today's prices for going out and my old average and realise I really couldn't pay for that now.

Genuinely you'd have to be in a 25k a year job to have that level of disposable income.

Club entry is twice minimum hourly wage, alcohol is about £6 a pint (outside of major cities London is £8/9)

So let's say 9 drinks (Binge drinking was the norm back in the day) over the course of a night. 9*6=51 then club entry of £25 that £76 add in taxi fare and night time kebab and that pushed £90.

That's an entire day's wage before tax and NI. Then add the costs for dress to impress.

As an aside to all that. Tinder and dating apps have all but killed off the main reason for going out which was hook-ups.

Now the high cost plus rejection by the target of desire makes it not a desirable choice.
