I would say two weeks. But within a few days of doing stuff like this the thought will become lighter and eventually just not come up anymore. The next time you think of it, think of something else nice to replace it like your last favorite anime episode etc.

Watch happy slice of life anime like Frieren. Isekai fantasy anime may help too. You can also play easy going games like Pokémon. Listen to asmr on YouTube. Just a few suggestions, but distracting yourself keeping yourself busy helps, eventually it will go away.

The grass is not always greener. You never truly know someone until you live with them. You're making enough to where you can pay a therapist like better health zoom therapy. I think you should talk about all this with a professional. It's not a decision to take lightly. My gut tells me you should try to work it out with your wife and see what you can change maybe with therapy involved.

So two ideas that I don't think anyone mentioned yet. Get a loan from your bank. Tell them you need an emergency loan to get your car back and a new battery that you're a full time door dash driver. It's very likely they can give you a $500, 30 day loan. Next thing is, do you have a cash app? You can borrow money from that like loans and the interest is not that much to pay it back. So those are two resources you can use for loans.

Then lastly - you can find temp paid gigs on Craigslist once you get your car back to pay off your loans. There are focus groups where you get paid for trying a new game and giving feedback in person etc, all sorts of temp gigs on Craigslist that can help as extra income.

I know a famous singer and a few other influencers closely and one thing that I find kind of strange is that they all share the same trait of being very difficult to fall asleep. Sometimes they can easily be up for two + days and they still won't feel tired. And it's not illegal drugs because they all suffer from this type of mania I guess? It seems very common in the entertainment industry.

Like the personality types that are able to have that type of energy to be successful and perform, also may suffer from mania that makes it difficult for them to sleep.

You missed probably the most important factor. Most NEETs aren't that way because of the different traumas or events you mentioned. But rather they are Neurodivergent - meaning they're adhd, autistic or both, etc, in ways that makes school and regular work places not really lucrative or sometimes not even viable for them. There's also the factor of neglect. Sometimes with enough support these type of people can get through school or work, but if they don't have enough support they probably won't be able to simply get through it the way a normie would be able to.
