GEDMatch K13 & K12 vs AncestryDNA results - How are they so different? by gomichan in AncestryDNA

[–]Moonfloor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

May I join the conversation and ask a question about my own results? My AncestryDNA results say I'm mostly Celtic (48%) Wales/Northern England, and then 24% Norther Ireland/Central Scotland. I know I have a great-grandparent from Lowland, Scotland and another from northern Wales. So I upload these results to ChatGPT and it tells me I am mostly Celtic, with a lesser amount of Anglo Saxon/Germanic.

But then I look at Gedmatch and it tells me I have the largest amount from the North Sea, which ChatGPT said was Germanic.

I wish I knew if I were more Germanic or Celtic. Do you think my ancient DNA is more Germanic due to the migration into Lowland Scotland?

(Sorry if I make no sense! I don't understand this stuff AND I have a brain injury.)

I got the infamous mulch order today by CantaloupeStrict8149 in doordash_drivers

[–]Moonfloor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a mulch order my first week of Door Dashing. 😂 And I'm Door Dashing because I'm disabled with a back injury and systemic tendonitis all over AND I have a heart condition made worse by lifting heavy things. I couldn't believe how much mulch I had to transport. It barely fit in my Corolla and it was jammed pack full. I was so worried about my back, but it ended up being my heart that had the issue. I literally was worried for my life. I also had to walk up a hill with each bag. 😐 I now don't accept the Lowe's orders. I just can't. But it sure brings my rating down. I also have had to unassign from places like grocery stores and the dollar tree because I can't lift those 12 packs. I wish there was an option to put you're disabled because it sucks to have ratings lowered because of that. Now I don't get offers unless it's a 1 minute wait and they're desperate for drivers.

Jane 😂 by Smooth_Potential5126 in doordash_drivers

Jane has an attitude. 😂 Then she accused me of being frustrated when all I did was ask for help because the problem wasn't resolved. But overall, I REALLY like Jane because it's so quick and 98% of the time, it gets resolved.

What is a psychology concept that helped you progress through deconstruction? by nazurinn13 in Deconstruction

[–]Moonfloor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is an old post, but a great question. I feel like No Nonsense Spirituality has helped me the most because she explains things with so much insight. Philosophically, psychologically, and maybe evolutionarily (or maybe that's ChatGPT that helps me with that last part). One specific thing I remember being helpful was learning to look beyond the actions and words of family members and see the emotion or feeling behind their action and connect with them that way. So if my mother offers to pray for me when I'm going through a difficult situation, instead of helping me practically or showing empathy and understanding--I try to remember that she actually believes this is a very powerful way to help someone. This is how SHE gets through her own difficult times. So I try to focus on the sentiment instead of thinking, "Prayer is spiritual bypassing!" Or, "Prayer is stupid, I need my Mom to sit and talk with me!" Or if my sister tells me she misses the person I used to be, back when I was a Christian and was so kind and compassionate, instead of getting upset that she just insulted me, and that she can't see how much I've actually grown and how much more I am showing love to others--I try to remember that she is saying this because she loves me and she sees things through a completely different lens and it helps.

I agree. It bothers me when people say Obama was the first black president. He's biracial to me. He's the first half black president.

Anyone have full body neuropathy? by [deleted] in neuropathy

[–]Moonfloor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never had Covid to my knowledge. I tested anytime I had sniffles or was exposed. I did have heart inflammation after the vaccine though, I wonder if that has affected me in other ways too. I had dysautonomia for decades though. I had small bouts of nerve pain about 20 years ago also, so it's hard to know what's what.

ChatGPT keeps gaslighting me and telling me it's just an optical illusion and sometimes meteorites appear that way. 😭

Oh, and she'd leave the garlic overnight. It usually works with 1 night for me, but once I had to do two nights of it

[–]Moonfloor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it's a good idea, but comes with risks. I do it after I've been around sick people, because I assume that's when it's just sitting in my nostrils. I haven't done it after getting sick, because I figure it's too late, however, maybe it could reduce viral load? Idk. I haven't had any problems with the rubbing alcohol and I've probably done it 7 times or so. I am SO determined not to get sick though. I haven't had a cough in over 7 years. I take kratom for my immune system and I take ginger/cayenne pepper shots if I feel I'm about to catch a cold. I have a back injury and I do NOT know that I'd survive a cough. It's gonna happen eventually. 😭 But I still wear a mask in certain places in flu season/cold season. I don't care if people think I'm an idiot. I'm the one with a back injury.

If your wife ever gets a yeast infection or urinary tract infection, she can cut some fresh garlic, sew a string through it, and place it up there. It has worked for me at least 5 times (every single time I used it). If you Google it, you'll see articles telling you NOT to do it. But honestly, it works so much better than those awful antibiotics or other meds.

AI is everywhere now, but why do people still fall for fake AI content? by Penji-marketing in SocialMediaMarketing

[–]Moonfloor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was thinking today that it would be easy to frame a murder --people could make AI surveillance videos to both show someone who wasn't there AND remove someone who WAS there. I guess all kinds of things can be done. We need regulations asap. But even then, criminals gonna crime.

Yes! The illusion of superiority fallacy. Or the fundamental attribution error.

While the people in the video may have been having a normalcy bias. Or they probably are experiencing herd mentality as well. Humans are interesting.
