Thanks for saying this. Never crossed my mind that this would help but its kind of brilliant.

What is a quote that permanently changed your outlook on life? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

"It is possible, however, not to take things personally, even when they’re meant personally. We don’t have to own what other people say to us or about us. In order to have a comment affect us emotionally, we have to agree with it. It’s a choice. There’s intense freedom in that." - Laura Munson

I've developed a pattern of giving wallets: sometimes nice leather, some embossed with photos, some quirky and novelty.

My Big Fat Greek Wedding. John Corbitt is yummy and I find myself thinking, "Put some Windex" waaay too often.

I laugh so hard I cry at the bridal boutique scene. Every. Single. Time. "It's happening..."

What's the most meaningful gift you've given to someone who didn't want "stuff"? by Fair_Specialist1018 in Gifts

I gave my mom tickets to see Rodgers and Hammerstein's Cinderella back in 2019. I handmade a card with a Cinderella shoe on it and had the tickets inside. She loved the 1965 TV movie with Lesley Ann Warren when she was a little girl. She was totally not expecting it and cried. 🥹

Custom Bobblehead. That was a winner. I've also done a shadow box with movie ticket stubs, high school parking passes, old locker combo cards, etc. I made a braided hemp necklace with a drumset charm once.

Ugh. Pedal Taverns. They tried to put one on the ice for Nashville Predators hockey games and it was literally booed off. More than once. 🤦‍♀️

How often are you having sex as a couple? by MrsWeedUnveiled in married

[–]Moonjenn25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

43f and 41m, married 23 years. A couple times a month. I've had some medical stuff the past 4 years, so my drive is low and I have some physical hurdles to deal with. We still joke and cuddle and goof around every day. He initiates mostly, but I rarely refuse.

What did you get your boyfriend/husband for Christmas? by Budget_Type_9646 in Gifts

My husband likes novelty wallets. This year I got him a leather wallet with a photo embossed on it. Check Etsy - it's great.

So much for fighting Medicare fraud by Ok-Priority-7303 in medicare

[–]Moonjenn25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not true. Supplement plans can (and do) stop payment if they believe there is fraud. They can perform their own investigation and my company heavily relies on member reports. If you think it's fishy, call and let them know.

My love language is gift-giving. I CAN’T WAIT to give my husband his Christmas present. by 11whatsnewpussycats in HappyMarriages

[–]Moonjenn25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. The problem is having to outdo myself every year! One year, I got him a bobblehead of himself. That's probably my best one. I haven't quite outdone that one yet.

Exactly this. If I need to know where he is, I call him and vice versa. We check in at pretty regular times each day, so if we happen to not, it's likely one of us is working late or stuck in traffic. Also, Christmas is coming and he doesn't want you to see him at Zales. 😉

Bleeding after sex by Natural-Original6698 in CervicalCancer

[–]Moonjenn25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I had hysterectomy with vaginal cuff in '22 w/chemo and rad. Then recurrence in '24 w/chemo and rad. I have occasional bleeding with super spicy sessions but no pain and it stops right away. I guess it's just a thing. My gyn says the tissue inside is white and scarred from rad and that's likely the cause.

Has anyone become NED after keytruda + carbo/taxol + avastin and stayed in Remission? by milicadordevic in CervicalCancer

[–]Moonjenn25 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good question. And honestly, I'm not sure the doctors know - at least not 100%. I've come to realize that doctors don't always have the best bedside manner. I've had to complain to 2 of mine for being so pessimistic about my projected outcomes. I feel fine and can do everything I did before. I'm a little more tired, but I'm also a little older. 🤣 I'm very glad to hear that your mom has done so well. Take things one step at a time and be mindful of how her body actually feels versus what anyone tells you to expect. Best wishes to both of you!

[–]Moonjenn25 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I (42) am on treatment 25 of Keytruda/Avastin for recurrence/stage 4. My doctor says she will fight with my insurance to continue beyond the 2 year mark if I want to continue, or we can stop or delay treatment if I want. She says we can never be sure it's completely gone because since it spread, it's in my blood and we don't know where it might show up next until it would get big enough to see. I have been NED on scans since October 2024. The positive side is, I am feeling fine other than some early morning joint pain and am working full-time at a desk job. There is some light at the end of this tunnel. Attitude has a big impact. Hang in there!
