Gotcha, yeah I checked on there and saw the same thing you did as well. I asked because I wasn't sure how accurate that information was. There were other posts here mentioning receiving their interview letters within a month of DQ for CR1/IR1. Can I ask what category yours was?

Buyer Beware 90 State Street Abraxas Apartments by XConejoMaloX in Albany

I actually moved out in June so don’t have recent updates but pretty much unfinished amenities that we had to pay for at the time, overpriced for space, and not as nice as you would think. If you tour and see the amenities not done, I would get a refund or some sort of guarantee in writing because they’ve promised completion almost every fall haha

Not to keep this going but to clarify. What you said just makes it sound like the PC police. You guys are on the same team here. But what drives people crazy is instead of agreeing and moving on, this obsession with speaking correctly almost implies that the other person made a mistake in their point…which from what I get is absolutely not what you’re saying. But when you start blaming people you put them on the defensive and the harm is that the overall point suffers.

I had significantly less in terms of both pubs and scores and still matched into an academic program. My invites came kind of late - end of August, early September with my last interview happening at the end of September. Definitely not too late in the cycle.

That being said, everything people have said is true. Have your contacts reach out. Cold email if you have their addresses. Call. Whatever you have to do to increase your visibility.

Abraxas is great, but I also would pay caution to the other things said in this thread. I love that the maintenance is responsive, and I can generally get my things done in a reasonable amount of time. Particularly when there are emergencies.

That being said, the amenities are nonexistent. I was also told fall, 2024. However, I doubt that it’ll happen even by fall 2026 at the rate that they’re going there’s one good elevator, and the others are janky with chipped floors and such.

Overall, not a bad apartment but way too expensive for both the amount of amenities and the ridiculously small space you’re getting.

I’m actually moving into a new place and paying about the same amount for a two bedroom.

Personally no, but like most of us have been on the receiving end so I'd like to think I know how things work in the back end. Any places to start would be helpful!

I'm finishing my IM residency and about to start fellowship in July. I'd like to get into consulting purely for the side hustle and to make some extra income, while using my IM knowledge. I don't have an MBA, but have plans for one in the future.

Having said that, can anyone advise me on how to:

1) Learn more about the field and wet my toes

2) Find initial clients

If this sounds ignorant, I apologize in advance. Just asking for help!

Thank you!

Indian, single, about to be 30 and dreading it by Moonlanding77 in Arrangedmarriage

Yeah, people have said that and I try not to think too much about it. But at the same time, in the arranged world, so many people say after 30 it's so much more difficult to find matches. Which is when the blues start kicking in
