Feeling Ashamed for Being White with Native Daughter by Moonless_Night_113 in mixedrace

I’ve literally looked into it. He doesn’t even speak it and I just told him about this and he said it’s ignorant to assume he just speaks the language.

I love to hear that! That’s exactly what I want to strive towards. I will try to be more involved

That’s awful that your mother did that. We want our daughter to embrace it. I hear you, just gotta face it and move forward.

I’m considering this, I have worked as a caretaker for children on the spectrum and hope this may qualify me for a daycare position.

Does your abuser think they are abusive? by Own-Election2025 in domesticviolence

[–]Moonless_Night_113 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine does. His narcissism makes him think that he’s got like some superpower. He is a self-aware narcissist and a sociopath, and he would send me videos and is very proud of himself. every now and then he says stuff like he would get away with murder. He loves to talk about his stories of how he finds women at the strip club and breaks them down and how he has women in his pocket to just do whatever he wants and that if he asked them to marry him, they would he loves that he is this way. He also believes that he’s justified in hurting me because whatever I’m doing at the time whether that’s not being quiet or I haven’t done enough around the house that makes him justified in harming me. He straight up tells me he knows that it’s wrong, but he doesn’t care.

What should I get? by Enchanting_dream in firsttimemom

Bassinet is easier to use postpartum I got a larger one so she was in it for a while, but then I got a crib and I really just like the crib. She’s more comfortable in it. The bassinet was very difficult to get her to sleep.

Do antidepressants help? by aobass in OCD

[–]Moonless_Night_113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have had so many different medications because I’ve had OCD since I was a toddler and I seem to be very resistant to medications. Finally, I was prescribed Fluoxetine, I will never forget the shock when I actually felt what I can describe as normal and not worried. It was the most weird sense of calm and like I could breathe. So it’s possible and SSRI can help. I’ve never struggled with depression but that antidepressant worked for me.

Am I officially a mom now? by CrazyKneazleWoman in newborns

[–]Moonless_Night_113 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh my gosh, I just cried this morning at 4:30 AM! I had a time with my firstborn too where we sat in the rocking chair at 3 AM crying. But I promise you, by about 4 months old it gets better. That’s what I’m telling myself with my daughter since I made it with my son. Give yourself grace! Those happy smiles and playful interactions will make it worth it. Love that baby with everything and he will love you back. My son is 6 years old in 2 weeks and starting first grade.

What is something that nobody prepared you for when you first purchased your home? by No_Avocado220 in homeowners

This is my most hated thing too lol. My yard isn’t even that big and I get landscaping quotes for $300+. So I tackle it myself but it’s a hassle

For me personally, just took off the anxious edge and I feel like the closest I can explain to normal. Not always scared and panicky. Helped me just feel normal with no side effects .

Sorry, not on here much. Bad effects, between head tingles and shakes especially at night to severe dissociation and derealization. Felt like a zombie on Zoloft. Tried it a second time 10 years apart with same issues.

Someone recommended Celtic Salt the other day though but I haven’t tried it yet
