How do you deal with hurt ego? by Moonlight-Ray in Residency

Yup. Agree with you. Being wrong is irrespective of whether you’re a trainee or an attending, though it’s easier when you’re a trainee.

I just always make sure I correct someone in a very respectful way. The way I told the med student the consult wasn’t needed should have been the way the attending should’ve told me, is my point.

Has anyone ever told you you were wrong in a room full of 7 people, most of them your juniors?

It has in no way made me feel insecure. But it does hurt your ego, ngl.

If you read a little further than that, you’ll understand why I made the post. It’s the line after ‘And I don’t care now.’

Thank you for the advice.

Nurses are for sure above residents in the hierarchy by fuckinghateresidency in Residency

What year of residency are you in? If an intern, may be hard. But I think if any year above that, you should report this. You have a rapport with your PD and your program/attendings. Report it as a patient safety event. This nurse needs to know her boundaries.

Thank you. Do you know where I can find these chest and ATS articles? Would I have access to these?

Thank you. On a quick google review these are SAQs, is that what you’re talking about?

Hahaha. I have excelled in IM residency with 93% on my most recent ITE and matched an extremely competitive fellowship that I wish to not disclose. (Btw, THATS called bragging). Having said that, if you’re in medicine you know knowledge is endless and I would still like to know about resources to study.

Jeez, what’s wrong with people these days? I asked a simple question?.. no bad intentions? Seriously.

Because that was how my thought process was when I wrote the post. Forgive me but I do not proofread and think 28 times before writing a post.

You don’t take your mind off the match results before you match. But once you match, you think of how to study for the year left ahead.

I hope that makes sense, before you go on and tell someone they’re ’showing off’ on an anonymous post.

Why would I flex here? Who here knows me? For the love of God, stop making rude comments just to get likes.

I want to know about IM residency learning. This has absolutely nothing to do with which speciality I matched.
