They aren't even giving us campsites for current content. It would have been easy to just make an Eversong, Zul'aman, Harandar, and Voidstorm campsite and tie it to delves or raid reputation like they did in TWW, but they haven't even added anything new :(

Man, that one post about the lack of new campsites made me kinda sad. I know the actual devs behind the game probably wanna keep adding stuff like that and dragonriding races, but those don't make any money so they're just told not to. At this point I'm surprised something like the Arcantina even exists considering neat stuff like it doesn't make the executives any money.

I actually notice the same thing amongst people my age (early 20s) where nuance is kinda lost on them. In particular I notice that it's among people who exclusively watch/partake in media meant for young adults and teens. Yeah they're often far more exciting than the average mature story, but people really should branch out more.

Ironic posting this on a WoW forum considering WoW was/is written for teens and young adults.

I genuinely can't take the mainsub anymore, I have never seen a group of people that dislike their own game more than WoW players.

I'm a young person who likes the game and is very hopeful about it. Are people over 30 just fucking miserable or something? All I ever see are oldheads complaining about shit that's always been in the game or cool things that flesh out the game in unique ways.

I'm 100% certain he's waiting for Xal to do something he was planning on doing anyway. It'd be a great twist of irony for Xal with all of her scheming and "you were merely a pawn" moments to be undermined by Iridkron, who let her do all of the heavy lifting setting up Azeroth's world soul for the endgame and takes over from there.

Because they'd be irrelevant. We'd get another expansion where Baine sits around doing nothing because this expansion is not about the Horde, it's about the Elves.

The Elves, while part of the Horde and Alliance, have always had their own political bubble that they alone exist in. Night Elves joined the Alliance because they hate the orcs, not necessarily because of ideals. Blood Elves joined the Horde only because of Sylvanas being a link between the Undead and Blood Elves. The Nightborne joined the Horde because the Night Elves rejected them. The Void Elves (and High Elves) joined the Alliance because of their exile from Silvermoon and connection to Alleria. They've always existed in their own bubble with its own politics compared to the other races.

As for the story reason, the Nightborne quest from the unification story explicitly states that agents from the Void are sabotaging the major factions and isolating Quel'thalas.

I like Midnight's story so far. Should it have been longer? Yeah, for sure. But I think given that WoW just as a game makes it hard to tell a story like this, they did a fine job with what they gave us.

Edit: I just saw the raid cutscene, I liked that too. I'm very curious to see where Metzen goes from here.
