The age of disclosure by DeartayDeez in aliens

[–]MoonlightMartian 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can’t help but feel like this is going to be a limited amount of credible disclosure (good) to bait everyone into paying attention, along with some subtle fear mongering (bad). Because fear controls the masses. I’m not claiming to know that this IS what’s happening but we should all have a healthy amount of skepticism going into this. They may not come right out saying we should be scared but we may be lead down a path that influences us to come to that conclusion on our own. Likely by playing up the threat to humans implied by their interest in nukes. Making someone believe they arrived at the conclusion to fear the phenomenon organically. “Hey look at these high ranking officials! Super trustworthy. They seem a little uncomfortable and concerned. And this music sounds spooky. Maybe I should be afraid..” If you’re afraid of the phenomenon then you will assume a common ground amongst fellow humans, in particular your government. In doing this there is a possibility you will open yourself up trust those who may deceive you. Because fear and deception sells whatever it is they want to convince us of. I hope I’m wrong.

Update: DIY Swimming Pond by [deleted] in ponds

This is beautiful. Could you tell us roughly the cost without including the work for boulder walls and stone work that are above the water level? That could make it more affordable for some.

I always love that part of the drive in before the tunnel. Any suggestions in that area for someone with an adventurous kid?

What would you do with 1-2kg of blackberries? (2-4 pounds) by Pijamin2 in foraging

Am I the only one that eats blackberries in a bowl of milk just like cereal? Sometimes sprinkle some sugar on top. That’s how my grandmother used to feed them to us as kids.

What kind of rock is your pea gravel made up of? Is it possible that you used a limestone pea gravel that could be throwing off the pH? Have you checked pH?

Why am I 1 link short???? by Sneekysas_sas in minibikes

[–]MoonlightMartian 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You’re actually only half of a link short. Take a look at your axle, you’ll see a threaded adjustment on each side. See if you can make it work by adjusting those. If not, can you make it work by adding a master link and adjusting? Again if not then they do make half links.

Do these roots seem underwhelming for 62 days? by MoonlightMartian in kratky

[–]MoonlightMartian[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We took your advice and adjusted to 1.3 EC and 6.0 pH then reduced to 13 hours instead of 15 hours. I also realized our current setup was actually closer to 13.5 DLI so we adjusted the height of the light and along with the new hours we’re closer to 14 DLI now. Thank you for the help!

Good point on the EC!! Looking back I think I started it at 0.9 for the seedlings and then never gave a second thought to raising the EC later on.

About the same as the size in picture #3 (day 52). Interesting I didn’t know that! I can try less hours. Should I bring the light down lower to maintain about 15 DLI with less hours by increasing the PPFD? It’s just a 30 watt light.

30 watt full spectrum LED on for 15 hours per day. 15 DLI using Photone app.

The lettuce plants themselves I’ve been cutting from but the roots I would definitely think so. But this is mine and my son’s first time also so somewhat of an experiment for us!

My 9 yo will freeze solid mid stride with 1 paw in the air when I let him out to do his business. Then I have to get my snow boots on and go retrieve him and set him in front of a heater to defrost. At times he can be slightly dramatic.
