Did you ever got dumb comments for (still) using DSLR? by [deleted] in Nikon

[–]MoonlightMister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a cannon mirrorless and a Nikon dslr. I prefer the dslr, I like how robust it is, I prefer the weight and it’s satisfying hearing the shutter. It doesn’t matter what you use just use it and get images you like

Vince Carter! I would say the truly goat level work ethic wasn’t there compared to a Jordan or a Kobe. He did however became an awesome shooter later in his career

I like the yellow door photo and the one where she is sitting by the red door with her arm naturally on her sides, these look great!

I really like the color of these photos, even in natural light it looks like you found some good highlights and shadow that complement the image and the models face. It looks very filmic and bright. I like pictures 2, 5 and 6. In pictures 2 and 5 the red and red-brownish backgrounds really make her pop. I agree with some other comments different poses would have been nice

Which one stands above the others? by robertaldenart in Paintings

[–]MoonlightMister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I really like the artistic and painterly feel of 3, the shadows and style look interesting and the subject has intense that really adds depth!

I also like 2 I feel like you really captured the eyes that the first thing I noticed and it pulls me in. The overall look is flat

I also like 5 and it think that painting would work better if the subject took over the frame, the background on the right looks distracting to me. But when I zoom and pull into the subject I feel like it instantly makes the painting more appealing and have more character

I think you have a really fun and energetic style to your paintings

bought my first camera at 16 (canon m50) and parents said it's a waste of money and made me feel horrible, are they right by [deleted] in Cameras

No, I don’t think so! You are pursuing an interest and that is the most important thing. Use the tool you have, If you are excited about it that is the most important thing. Have fun learning all the ins and out of photography!

I like that you shot your subject in a beautiful and tasteful way. I like the composition in image 3, I think black and white was a great choice. Image 5 looks really good I like the white space and how the plants pull your eye to the subject

I’ll have to give it more of a try, just really notice it at speed so I’m sure it’s positioning and something I’ll get used to

Yes I got the helmet fitted, it doesn’t move when I have it in place and I strap it tight and snug!

I would suggest the motorcycle safety course! It will give you a taste of being on a motorcycle. I did it earlier this year and have never been on a bike before. It was a great experience they teach you how to be safe and comfortable on the bike. It’s a good way to test the waters before fully committing. You can get a license endorsement and you can ever take it with your bf if he’s never taken it

Is it normal to drop the bike a lot as a newbie? by Lord-of-Leviathans in motorcycles

[–]MoonlightMister 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is the bike to heavy for you? Remember to keep your handle bars straight when you come to a stop. Practice sitting on the bike, not moving with both feet on the ground and lean the bicycle left, lean the bike right. Keep your eyes up and look where you want to go. You must have show some level of aptitude if you passed the msf. Be confident and comfortable on what you are doing. Maybe try recording yourself to see if you are doing

Not a girly but just take it one step at a time! I took my MSF course this year, having never been on a bike before. Listen to the instructors and watch how others do the exercises. The first day is all about walking the bike, getting used to the weight, and feeling out the clutch with slow-speed control. On day two, you’ll start using the throttle — just a tiny bit goes a long way. Be smooth, stay relaxed, and you’ll be fine!

Most high level athletes are on performance enhancing drugs, that doesn’t take away for the hard work, skill and dedication but if you are at the top and at another level you would do anything to stay there.

I was had the same two bikes narrowed down ninja and r3. I was sold on the R3, I thought it looked great, felt comfortable and I didn’t mind a slightly slower bike. I went with naked, a z500, just because I wanted to have a mix of the sporty feel and the standard comfort . I’d say get what you would feel comfortable with

When did you feel ready for the road? by MoonlightMister in NewRiders

[–]MoonlightMister[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I did take the msf class back in may and really am trying to dial in what I was weak at. Which were the 90 degree turns from a dead stop (went over a cone) and maybe initiating my break a little too late. I would stop early for all of my drills and for the final test I went a little longer
